Joy Formidable are formed of Ritzy Bryan, Rhidian Dafydd and Matt Thomas and are based in London, England, although originally from North Wales. Joy Formidable are an indie rock band from Wales. The band formed in 2007 from the remnants of lead singer and guitarist Ritzy Bryan and bassist Rhidian Dafydd's former band Sidecar Kisses.
The band have played both Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds Festivals, to a crowd of dedicated fans.
Joy Formidable were named the Guardian's "One To Watch" in 2008, and their first single "Austere" gained attention from being featured on trailers for Channel 4's Skins. The single was featured on the 8-track EP "A Baloon Called Moaning" which was followed by a full album, "The Big Roar", released in January 2011.

Joy Formidable to tour the UK this Autumn
The Welsh trio have confirmed a UK and Ireland tour to kick off in October.
The Welsh band are set kick off their 2010 tour in Scotland next year. Joy Formidable will play 15 nights in the UK between March 9 and April 1.
