Ryder Cup Feeling the Credit Crunch

September 16th, 2008 by Phil Lythell

With the start of the 2008 Ryder Cup only days away, it is clear that not everybody is willing to pay over the odds to see their golfing heroes in action. Tickets are selling on a number of online exchanges, but resellers are clearly not picking up the kind of profits they were expecting.

One pair of VIP tickets with a combined face value of £2020 ($3600) recently sold for £340 online. Many other resellers are having similar experiences and are being forced to accept much less than they had anticipated. Over 400 tickets are still listed online with prices ranging from £31.29 to £768.33.
