British number one reaches semi-finals in Shanghia Masters Cup

Earlier today, Andy Murray defeated Frenchman, Gilles Simon in straight sets to secure his place in the semi-finals in the Shanghai Masters Cup competition. The British number cruised past Simon winning the first set 6-4 and the second 6-2.

Murray’s next challenge comes in the form of Swiss Ace, Roger Federer. Only time will tell if the Scotsman can put the US open defeat behind him and emerge victorious against the defending champion.

Novak Djokovic was the first player to secure a place in the semis after beating Nikolay Davydenko in straight sets.

Tennis fans will have a chance to see some of the legends of the game in action at next month’s Black Rock Masters series in London. The competition starts on the 2nd of December at the Royal Albert Hall and tickets are still available.
