The Killers Win Chart Battle

December 1st, 2008 by Peter Bevan

This week The Killers latest album, Day & Age, managed to fend off competition from the Guns ‘n’ Roses’, Chinese Democracy to claim the number one spot in the UK Album Chart this week. Guns ‘n’ Roses came a close second.  Third place was taken by the 2007 X-factor runner-up, Rhydian. Fellow X-factor contestant, Leona Lewis was pushed down the chart to number four.

A number of the current chart entries will be touring the UK next year. The Killers 2009 tour kicks off on February 20th at Dublin’s O2 Arena and concludes at the Manchester Evening News Arena on the 10th March. The Killers UK visit also features performances in London, Birmingham and Glasgow. Tickets to see The Killers are still available with prices from £64.50.

Rhydian has recently announced his 2009 spring tour which begins on 29th April.  The Rhydian tour closes on May 23rd at Sheffield City Hall and includes shows in Bristol, Liverpool and Cardiff. Tickets to see Rhydian are available from just £22.
