It has recently been confirmed that Kings of Leon will be joining the list of top acts performing at this year’s Oxegen festival. Kings of Leon will be joined by other big name artists including The Killers and Snow Patrol. Organisers of the Oxegen festival are due to announce more acts over the coming weeks. The 2009 Oxegen festival takes place betwen July 10 & 12 at Punchestown Racecourse in County Kildare.

All three of the confirmed headline acts will be on tour in the UK in 2009.

The Killers tour starts in Belfast at the Odyssey Arena (February 21), before moving on to venues including London’s O2 Arena (February 23 &24), Cardiff International Arena (February 28), Aberdeen Exhibition Centre (March 5) and the Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (March 7). The Killers tour comes to a close with two back to back shows at the Manchester Evening News Arena (March 9 & 10). Killers tickets are currently available from £56.

Snow Patrol also hit the road this February. The mammoth Snow Patrol tour kicks off in Bournemouth at the International Conference Centre on February 22. The Snow Patrol also features performances at the Glasgow SECC (February 24 & 25), Liverpool Echo Arena (March 6), Cardiff International Arena (March and Nottingham Trent FM Arena (March 12). The Snow Patrol tour comes to a close with four shows at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast (March 19, 20, 21 &23). Snow Patrol tickets are available from £40.
