Tension mounts as Six Nations nears kick off

February 6th, 2009 by Jessica Martinez

The 2009 RBS Six Nations rugby is set to start tomorrow afternoon and speculation is mounting as the teams prepare for the opening fixtures. The first weekend sees all six teams in action with some mouth watering fixtures including England playing host to Italy at Twickenham, France taking on Ireland at Croke Park and last year’s winners, Wales, facing Scotland at Murrayfield.

Following poor performances from the all of the home nations at 2008’s Autumn Internationals, England, Wales Scotland and Ireland will all be out to prove a point. British and Irish rugby fans witnessed their sides fail to fulfil their potential during the 2008 Autumn Internationals series. Wales’ triumph over Australia’s at the Millennium Stadium was the only high point.

Six nations tickets are still available for every single fixture and prices start at £20.
