Last night, the 2009 Grammy Awards took place at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles and British rock band Coldplay were amongst the big winners.  Coldplay picked up three awards including the prize for Best Rock Album.

Other Brits to pick up prizes at last night’s Grammys included Duffy, Adele and Radiohead.

Duffy picked up the award for Best Pop Vocal Album, whilst Adele won the Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance prizes.  Radiohead’s 2008 album, In Rainbows, won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album.

The multiple Grammy winners, Coldplay, embark on their 2009 stadium tour in September. The Coldplay tour kicks off at Lancashire County Cricket Ground in Manchester on September 12 and draws to a close in London at Wembley Stadium on September 19. Hundreds of Coldplay tickets are available from £44.
