Free theatre ticket giveaway launched

Arts Council England have teamed up with the Metro newspaper to launch a new scheme aimed at increasing the attendance of young people at English theatres.

Launched at the Donmar Warehouse theatre in Covent Garden yesterday A Night Less Ordinary offers thousands of free theatre tickets to anyone under the age of 26 for a wide variety of theatre events including comedy, tragedies, musical theatre, dance, modern mime, plays, circus and much more.

More than 200 venues throughout England have agreed to participate in the scheme which is planned to run until February 2011.

Free Theatre Tickets are available to those under the age of 26 from the Art’s Council England website. Meanwhile other West End theatre tickets for such shows Blood Brothers, Oliver, The Sound of Music, Mamma Mia, Jersey Boys, Blue Man Group, We Will Rock You, Enjoy and Billy Elliot remain available from as little as £12.
