Organisers behind the popular Roskilde Festival have recently announced that Oasis will headline this year’s festival. Oasis will join Coldplay as well as Madness and Slipknot at the hugely popular festival.

The Roskilde Festival takes place outside the Danish capital, Copenhagen, between July 2 and 5.

Oasis will also be playing live in the UK this summer. The Oasis tour kicks off with three shows at Heaton Park in Manchester (June 4, 6 &7). Oasis play seven further dates including performances at Sunderland Stadium of Light (June 10), Cardiff Millennium Stadium (June 12), Murrayfield Stadium in Glasgow (June 17) and Coventry’s Ricoh Arena  (July 7). The Oasis tour comes to a close in London with four shows at Wembley Stadium (July 9, 11 & 12). Loads of Oasis tickets are still available from £40.

Fellow Roskilde headliners, Coldplay, are also on tour in the UK this year. Following their massively successful arena tour towards the end of 2008, Coldplay will be back on the road in the UK this September. Thousands of Coldplay tickets are still available for their 2009 stadium tour which features guest appearances from Girls Aloud and Jay-Z. Coldplay tickets can currently be picked up for as little as £44.
