Britney Spears will not be joined by Madonna

March 17th, 2009 by Gregory Jones

It has recently been confirmed that Britney Spears will not be joined by Madonna on stage on her forthcoming Circus tour. There had been rumours earlier this year suggesting Britney might be joined by the Queen of Pop on her current world tour, but Britney Spears’ official website has made it clear that there are currently no collaboration plans.

Britney is currently on tour in the US before she makes her way over to Europe. The UK leg of the 2009 Britney Spears Circus tour kicks off at the London O2 Arena June 3. Britney Spears will perform seven further dates at the O2 Arena. Britney Spears will also play one date at the Manchester Evening News Arena on June 17th. Hundreds of Britney Spears tickets are still available with prices from £50.

Madonna will also be on tour in the UK in 2009. Madonna is set to play shows at the O2 Arena (July 4 & 5) and the Manchester Evening News Arena (July 7 & 8). Despite the fact that both Madonna tour dates sold out so quickly, hundreds of tickets are still available on the resale market. Madonna tickets are available for both UK dates of the 2009 Madonna tour and prices start at £83.
