Bob Dylan scores chart brace

Bob Dylan’s latest album, Together Through Life, is spending its second week at the top of the official UK albums chart. Bob Dylan beat off competition from the likes of Lady Gaga, Lily Allen and Pink to retain the chart crown. The latest Bob Dylan album was released during the recent UK Bob Dylan tour which came to a close last week.

Second place, Lady Gaga, is up one place from number three as she spends her seventeenth week in the UK albums chart. Lily Allen’s latest release, It’s Not Me It’s You, claimed the third spot while Pink and Beyonce make up the top five.

Prodigy’s Invaders Must Die is up one place at number six whilst last week’s highest new entries, The Enemy, are down five places at seven. Kings of Leon spend their thirty third week in the UK albums chart at number eight while new albums from Ciara and Yusuf Islam make up this week’s top ten.

Music fans will be glad to hear that a many of this weeks album chart entrants are on tour in the UK this year.

Lady Gaga plays solo shows at Manchester Academy (June 29) and London Brixton Academy (July 14) as well as supporting Pussycat Dolls at Liverpool Echo Arena (July 22) and Silverstone Circuit (July 24).  Tickets to see Lady Gaga’s solo shows and Pussycat Dolls support shows are available to compare at Tixdaq.com.

Pink is also on tour in the UK in 2009.

The 2009 Beyonce tour is little over a week away now. The Beyonce tour begins at Birmingham NIA on May 23. The Beyonce tour also visits London O2 Arena , Manchester Evening News Arena (),Belfast Odyssey Arena and Liverpool Echo Arena.

Other chart entries including The Enemy and Cat Stevens are also on the tour in the UK this year and there are hundreds of tickets to compare at Tixdaq.com.
