Camden Crawl returns this weekend to kick off the UK music festival season.

The indie music festival which will be take place this Friday and Saturday (April 24 and 25), has expanded each year since its inception in 2006 to become a distinct highlight on the London music calender.

Friday nights headliners Yeah Yeah Yeahs will be performing in Camden as part of their tour supporting new album It’s Blitz! also headling this weekend will be The Enemy, Kasabian and Echo and the Bunnymen.

Just behind the lustre of the headliners, plenty of breaking acts will have their chance to win over a festival crowd for the first time. Frankmusik (Saturday only); BBC Sound Of 2009 winner Little Boots (Saturday only); Sheffield-via-Jamaica dancehall masher Toddla-T (Saturday only); DJ crossovers Filthy Dukes (Friday only) and Jools Holland favourite VV Brown will all be hoping to open their Camden Crawl accounts with a bang.

In the true spirit of Camden Crawl festival goers will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy hottly tips indie and unsigned acts such as Marina And The Diamonds, Alessi’s Ark and the splendidly named Ou Est Le Swimming Pool.

Stalwarts of the indie scene will also be  in attendance. Scottish rocker’s The View (Saturday only), will be joined by Brighton boys Brakes (Friday only) and Idlewild (Friday only). Recent additions to the bill Kasabian and The Enemy both have new albums to promote. Meanwhile dance fans will have their ears full with Count & Sinden and Datarock.

The full Camden Crawl line up will be Alessi’s Ark, Chew Lips, Count & Sinden, Dan Black, Datarock, Wire, Billy Bragg, Golden Silvers, King Creosite, Toddla T, Flashguns, General Fiasco, Goldielocks, Heartbreak, I Blame Coco, James Yuill, Kasms, Little Comets, Man Like Me, Marina And The Diamonds, Peggy Sue, Sportsday Megaphone, The Computers,  The King Blues, The XX, Three Trapped Tigers and Tommy Sparks.
