Andy Murray to face Juan Ignacio Chela

Andy Murray has recently found out who is set to be his opponent in the first round of the 2009 French Open at Roland Garros.  Andy Murray will face the former French Open quarter finalist Juan Ignacio Chela of Argentina.

Juan Ignacio Chela is currently the 205th seed, but has been ranked as high as 15th when he reached the quarter-final of the 2004 French Open.

Andy Murray last faced Juan Ignacio Chela at the 2007 Madrid Masters where Andy Murray emerged victorious after winning in straight sets.

Elsewhere, Rafael Nadal is set to face a qualifier in the opening round of the French Open while Roger Federer faces Martin Alberto and Novak Djokovic will play Nicolas Lapentti.

The next Grand Slam tournament after the French Open is the 2009 Wimbledon tennis championships. British tennis fans can catch their favourite players in action at Wimbledon, which takes place from June 22.

The world’s top seeded players will also be in action in the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in November, being held in the London O2 Arena.
