Emma Watson in new Cinderella role
July 15th, 2009 by Peter Bevan
It has been reported that Emma Watson has been cast in a new role for the first time away from the Harry Potter movie series that made her famous for playing Hermione Granger.
Whilst her co-stars Daniel Radcliffe (who plays Harry Potter) and Rupert Grint (who plays Ron Wesley) have acted in other projects, Emma Watson had been studying for her A Levels, and now plans to go to university in America this September.
However, if rumours are to be believed then Emma Watson will star as Cinderella in a new musical version of the classic Disney movie.
As goth rock star Marilyn Manson is behind the developments of the production, a gothic version of the story can be expected.
Although, just how much involvment Marilyn Manson will have in the music and direction of Cinderella is yet to be known for sure.
It seems this story is yet to develop fully, but if the sound of Cinderella whets your appetite then you can catch Cinderella On Ice at the London Royal Albert Hall next year.
Cinderella On Ice will be performed by the Imperial All Stars, with a cast of over 20 National, European and World Championship skaters.
Dazzling costumes and daring dance routines are guaranteed in this unique take on the classic childern’s story, taking place from February 24-28 2010.
Cinderella On Ice tickets are available to compare at tixdaq.com from £64.
