Idlewild will be touring the UK for the new album Post Electric Blues with 11 dates in October

Scottish rock band Idlewild have announced 11 October dates for their tour of the new album Post Electric Blues, which is also expected to be released in October.

Idlewild recently performed two songs from the new album in front of the T In The Park crowd on the NME/Radio 1 stage.

These new songs were called ‘City Hall’ and ‘Readers and Writers’.

The Idlewild tour begins at the Manchester Academy (October 10) and will be stopping off at the London Electric Ballroom (October 16), Oxford O2 Academy (October 18), Birmingham O2 Academy (October 29) and the last scheduled date at the Sheffield Leadmill (October 30).

Idlewild tickets will go on general sale on July 31 at 9am.

Idlewild fans who cannot wait that long to see them live can also catch them in action at the Summer Sundae Weekender at the Leicester De Montfort Hall (August 14-16), and the Wizard Festival which takes place at the Turriff New Deer Showground (August 28-29).
