Following her recent X Factor appearance and UK tour announcement,  it has been confirmed that Whitney Houston will perform at the American Music Awards on November 22 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The performance will be broadcast live on ABC TV.

The appearance is set to be Whitney Houston’s first prime-time television performance in the US for over five years.

Other artists set to perform at this year’s American Music Awards include Jay-Z, Rihanna, Green Day, the Black Eyed Peas,  and Lady Gaga.

The 2010 UK Whitney Houston tour kicks off on April 8 at the MEN Arena.  Whitney Houston is also set to perform live at Glasgow SECC (April 11), Birmingham LG Arena (April 13) and the Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (April 22). The Whitney Houston tour draws to a close with three shows at London O2 Arena (April 25, 26 & 28).
