Murray prepares for Federer test

November 24th, 2009 by George Prior

Andy Murray is set to take on the world number one seed, Roger Federer, later today and this could be his chance to step closer to the coveted ATP World Tour Finals title.

Andy Murray will go head-to-head with Roger Federer this evening at the London O2 Arena in the second of today’s singles matches at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals. The first of today’s tennis matches sees Juan Martin del Potro – the player who Murray defeat in the opening game of the tournament – take on Fernando Verdasco.

This will be the tenth time the two players have met on the ATP circuit and Andy Murray will no doubt be in a confident mood following his victory against Del Potro on Sunday. Andy Murray has won two of the last three matches against Roger Federer. However, Roger Federer won the most recent encounter at the Cincinnati Masters back in August.

The Barclays ATP World Tour Finals are proving to be hugely popular with British tennis fans and Tixdaq can confirm that tickets are still available for most of the remaining matches.
