ATP World Tour Finals - Day Four

Last night, Nikolay Davydenko beat Rafael Nadal in straight sets at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London. In what was the second of yesterday’s matches at the O2 Arena, Nikolay Davydenko beat the world number two, Rafael Nadal, 6-1, 7-6 (7-5).

Rafael Nadal is now out of the 2009 ATP World Tour Masters having lost his opening match earlier this week against Robin Soderling. Reafael Nadal has really struggled to capture his past form this season and the two defeats at the ATP Masters Finals sums up his last twelve months.

Nikolay Davydenko goes in to the final day (November 27) of the round Robin stage of the tournament needing a win against Novak Djokovic. Djokovic is in a similar position having lost and won a game this week.

Today’s (November 26) matches see Andy Murray go head-to-head with Fernando Verdasco in the afternoon followed by Roger Federer taking on Juan Martin Del Potro in the evening. Both matches will no doubt be epic encounters as all four players are playing some of the best tennis of their lives. Juan Martin Del Potro is in particularly good form despite having lost against Andy Murray in the opening game of the 2009 ATP Masters Finals.

Tixdaq can confirm that ATP World Tour Finals tickets are still available for both semi finals as well as the final on Sunday (November 29).
