Andy Murray crashes out of ATP Finals
November 27th, 2009 by Gregory Jones
Despite beating Fernando Verdaso yesterday, Andy Murray has failed to qualify for the semi finals of the 2009 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.
Andy Murray beat Fernando Verdasco in an epic three set encounter, but that failed to secure him a place in the semi finals due to the fact that Juan Martin Del Potro beat the world number one, Roger Federer, 6-2. 6-7, 6-3 in what was one of the greatest matches of the tournament so far.
This means that Juan Martin Del Potro has booked himself a place in the semi finals at the O2 Arena on Saturday alongside the player he beat last night, Roger Federer.
Today’s matches see Rafael Nadal take on Novak Djokovic in the afternoon match followed by Nikolay Davydenko v Robin Soderling in the final.
Tixdaq can confirm that ATP World Tour Finals tickets are still available for both semi finals as well as the final on Sunday (November 29).
