Madness is to re-release its 1979 debut album One Step Beyond, hoping to capture the imagination of a new breed of fans as they begin their UK tour in Bournemouth on 1 December.

The album originally peaked at Number Two in the UK Albums Chart, stayed in the Top 40 until the end of 1980 and began a run of hit singles and albums that continues right up to this year’s critically-acclaimed ‘The Liberty Of Norton Folgate’.

The re-release includes content that wouldn’t have been possible with LPs of old, such as videos of various singles, John Peel session recordings and a host of extra tracks.
