Coldplay fans queued for up to two days to get their hands on a ticket to the bands first gig in their hometown of Exeter for nine years.

Tickets were being sold at HMV and fans were so determined to see the band’s homecoming that they braved the elements to make sure they could get a glimpse of Chris Martin and co.

The band will be performing at the Big Noise Session that will also feature the vocal talents of Lily Allen and La Roux in an event at Exeter Castle that is rasingin money for Mencap.

Tickets were on sale for £50 but now they are simply priceless.
