X Factor chart battle sparks ticket buying frenzy

December 17th, 2009 by Gregory Jones

The Christmas chart battle between Rage Against the Machine and the winner of the 2009 X Factor, Joe McElderry, is really hotting up. Bookies have slashed the odds for Rage Against the Machine’s ‘Killing in the Name’  after it was confirmed that the US rockers had sold almost 40,000 more copies than the X Factor winner. However, the cd version of the Joe McElderry track has only been released very recently and sales of the X Factor single are expected to rocket over the next two days.

Following all of the hype surrounding the chart battle between Rage Against the Machine and Joe McElderry, Tixdaq can confirm that sales of the X Factor Live tour have been boosted significantly. Hundreds of X Factor Live tickets have been sold since the battle kicked off between the two acts and ticket sales continue to grow.

Joe McElderry and the other X-Factor finalists will be on the road next year. The twelve finalists kick off the X-Factor Live tour in February and tickets are selling fast.

Dates for the 2010 X-Factor tour have already been announced and X-Factor Live tickets are available for all of the shows taking place in the UK. The X-Factor Live tour kicks off on February 15 at Liverpool Echo Arena. The X-Factor Live tour includes visits to a number of top UK venues including the Birmingham LG Arena, Wembley Arena, Belfast Odyssey Arena and the MEN Arena. The X-Factor live tour draws to a close at the Glasgow SECC on April 4.
