ITV says it has no plans to reschedule this year’s X Factor, despite rumours that Simon Cowell was trying to move it from its autumn slot.Earlier this week, Simon Cowell announced he was leaving American Idol as a judge to launch a US version of the X Factor, provoking speculation about his appearance in the UK X Factor. An ITV spokesperson revealed in a statement that that the announcement was ‘no surprise’ and added: ‘We are absolutely planning for the X Factor to return this autumn and next.’
We are now under a month away from the X Factor Live 2010 Tour, which will see winner Joe McElderry and the other finalists perform at various venues across the UK. Tickets are still available for the tour but be advised they are selling out fast.
Starting on February 15 at Liverpool Echo Arena, the X-Factor Live tour includes visits to a number of top UK venues including the Birmingham LG Arena, Wembley Arena, Belfast Odyssey Arena and the MEN Arena. The tour draws to a close at the Glasgow SECC on April 4.
