Leona Lewis talks animal rights

February 9th, 2010 by Jessica Martinez

Leona Lewis feels ‘sick’ when she sees people wearing real fur. The former X Factor winner is a keen animal rights supporter and sees something distasteful about people wearing animal furs as fashionable clothing items.

‘I think animals are treated very poorly,’ Leona told Live magazine. ‘When I see people wearing fur it makes me so sick. Especially when I see young singers doing it – that sickens me.’

Leona Lewis will be back in the UK later this year for her 2010 tour. The 2010 Leona Lewis tour begins in Sheffield Hallam FM Arena on May 28, before performances at a number of top venues across the UK including MEN Arena, London O2 Arena, Glasgow SECC and the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle. The Leona Lewis tour draws to a close with two shows at the Cardiff International Arena on July 5 & 6.
