Ellie Goulding received the Critics Choice award at the BRIT Awards last night. She was presented with the award by Courtney Love, who praised the newcomer’s talent. Goulding beat the likes of Delphic and Marina & the Diamonds to the award, which last year was won by Florence & the Machine.

‘Well this is mental,’ the Hereford-born star said. ‘I just wanna say thank you so much to the critics who gave me this award.’

Ellie Goulding fans will be pleased to hear she will be touring the UK from March. Celebrating the release of her debut album ‘Lights’ on March 1, the Ellie Goulding spring tour includes visits to a number of top UK venues including the Manchester Academy and the O2 Academy in Birmingham.
