Florence and the Machine win at BRITs

Florence and the Machine won Best British Album for their debut ‘Lungs’ at the BRIT Awards. The band, headed by Florence Welsh, beat the likes of Dizzee Rascal and Lilly Allen to pick up the award at the ceremony last night.
The award is sure to increase demand for Florence and the Machine upcoming UK tour. The Florence and the Machine UK tour kicks off at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on May 2, before dates at a number of top venues across the UK. The tour concludes with three consecutive nights at London’s HMV Apollo (May 13-15).
