Max and Paddy to return?
February 22nd, 2010 by Liam Tailor
Paddy McGuiness has revealed that he would love to work alongside Peter Kay for a new series of TV comedy Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere. The Take Me Out host co-starred with Peter Kay in the Phoenix Nights spin-off back in 2004, but the duo only made one series.
Speaking about a possible comeback, McGuiness told The Sun: ‘We wrote some stuff for Max & Paddy for Christmas specials. But what people don’t realise with telly is, when you’re doing a series it’s 12 months out of your life. We always talk about it, me and Pete, we love those characters and would love to do it again. You can never say never.’
For now though, it looks like Peter Kay is set concentrate on his stand-up with a massive schedule planned. Peter Kay tours the UK with the ‘Tour that doesn’t Tour’… tour (tell that one to your mates). Everyone’s favourite Bolton resident - apologies to Vernon Kay – will perform his latest stand-up across the UK, including a huge 20-night residency at the MEN Arena and dates at London’s O2 Arena.
