Rihanna: next album will be ‘more energetic’

Rihanna’s latest album ‘Rated R,’ was her darkest to date – and perhaps a reflection of her traumatic break-up with Chris Brown – but the Barbados star says that her follow-up will be more upbeat. She told MTV Korea: ‘I really like the bottom, the grime of [Rated R]. But if I were to combine that with more energetic, up-tempo pop records, then I think that will be a happy marriage. And that’s where we’ll probably go next.’

The US star will be performing in front of her British fans on her UK tour this Spring. Rihanna kicks off the tour at Birmingham LG Arena on May 7 and will be supported by new pop sensation Pixie Lott. Full details of the Rihanna UK  tour are listed below:
