Roxy Music and Grace Jones join Dizzee Rascal as Lovebox Headline Acts
February 23rd, 2010 by Jessica Martinez
Roxy Music and Grace Jones have been revealed to be the other headline acts for Lovebox Festival 2010, after Dizzee Rascal was confirmed back in December.
Roxy Music formed in 1971 and became one of the most influential art rock groups in Britain, but split in 1983. In 2001 they reunited for a concert and have since announced they are to write and record a new album. Fans attending Lovebox may even be lucky enough to hear some of this material!
Grace Jones has been a successful singer, model and actress, though it is her music career that kick-started her life in the limelight. She has since released ten albums, the most recent of which in 2008, and is a cult favourite with fans for her striking looks and style as well as her music, which has earned her a Grammy award.
Dizzee Rascal was the youngest ever recipient of the Mercury Music Award at 19 when he won for his debut album Boy In Da Corner in 2003. Since then he has had three UK number ones, and continues to be the biggest selling grime act in the world.
