Bestival is one of the UK’s quirkier festivals. Every year the organisers announce a fancy dress theme for the Saturday of the event, and this year’s theme is Fantasy.

Bestival’s website lists a number of potential costume ideas, and these are:

Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz, The Lord of the Rings, hobbits, trolls, elves, fairies, the Odyssey, King Arthur, Merlin, the Dong with the luminous nose, William Morris, A Midsummer Nights Dream, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Willy Wonka, Sir Gawain and The Green Knight, Harry Potter, Spirited Away, The Time Machine, Star Wars, the Incredible Hulk, Magick, the supernatural, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Lord Ganesh, Fantasy Island, Caractacus Potts, Tarzan, Veruca Salt, Zombies…

The festival tried to break the Guinness world record for the most people in fancy dress in any one event in 2005, and who could say they won’t break it this year?
