The Big Pink beg to play alongside Lily Allen

March 1st, 2010 by Liam Tailor

New breakthrough act The Big Pink have revealed the lengths they had to go to play alongside Lily Allen at last week’s NME Awards. The rockers performed a mash-up of ‘Dominoes’ and Carly Simon’s 1972 hit ‘You’re So Vain’ with Lily Allen, but this was not before some grovelling had to be done.

‘We thought it was a really funny thing to do – do ‘You’re So Vain,’ Robbie Furze told NME, before revealing how he got permission to play the song. ‘I wrote Carly Simon an email going… well, I was just really… honest. I guess she must have listened to the song. One of the two – the email was good and the song was good!’

The Big Pink are set for a six-date UK tour this May. The duo will perform at venues across the UK including London, Glasgow and Manchester among others. Tickets are on sale now through all the major vendors including Ticketmaster, Seatwave and Seetickets, and are available to compare through Tixdaq.com.
