Boyzone want to record album with Westlife

March 3rd, 2010 by Jessica Martinez

Boyzone have revealed that they would one day like to record an album with fellow Irish boyband, Westlife. Both groups were created by X Factor judge Louis Walsh, and have recently been working together creating an ITV1 tribute to late Boyzone member Stephen Gately.

Boyzone member Shane Lynch said that the possible collaboration would help to show Irish solidarity and that he found it hard to believe that the bands had never worked together before.

Westlife are set to start their tour of the UK and Ireland in May this year and will be visiting Belfast’s Odyssey Arena, Nottingham’s Trent FM Arena, Liverpool’s Echo Arena, Sheffield’s Hallam FM Arena, London’s O2 Arena, Birmingham’s LG Arena, the Cardiff International Arena, Glasgow’s SECC, Manchester’s MEN Arena, Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena. The Westlife tour draws to a close with a special show at Dublin’s Croke Park Stadium on June 5.
