The director of Lady GaGa’s newest video has compared the singer to pop legend Madonna. Jonas Akerlund was behind the Telephone video which sees Lady GaGa team up with Beyoncé, and the comparison comes after having previously worked with Madonna on videos such as Ray of Light and Music.

Speaking to MTV, Akerlund compared Lady GaGa’s “hard-work” to that of Madonna’s and stated that “GaGa has all the potential and all the tools and all the brain to take her creativity as far she wants to.”

Lady GaGa is set to return to the UK at the end of May as part of her Monster Ball tour and recently announced two extra dates.  She will be performing at the O2 Arena in London on 31st May and Manchester’s MEN Arena on 3rd June, tickets for both of these shows will be on sale at 9am this Friday (19th March) and will be available to compare and buy here at Tixdaq.com.
