March 29th, 2010 by Adam Davies
Reading Festival will delight fans across the country with the hotly anticipated announcement of its lineup tonight, and tickets will also go on sale this evening at 6:45 p.m. this evening. While the full billing for the event has not been confirmed, immense speculation from trusted sources has been circulating that it will be headlined by Blink-182, Arcade Fire and Guns ‘N’ Roses, with equally intense rumour suggesting an appearance from the original lineup of The Libertines – critically acclaimed as one of the best and most influential British bands of the last twenty years, with Carl Barat and Pete Doherty’s songwriting partnership compared to John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
Other expected performers include Hole, Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, The Maccabees, Biffy Clyro, Freebass, Soundgarden and The Sunshine Underground, so Reading Festival 2010 looks set to be incredible as ever.
