Florence and the Machine head Mojo Award nominations

Florence and the Machine have been nominated for no less than four awards at this year’s Mojo Awards. Florence Welch has been nominated for breakthrough act, best album, best live act and song of the year for You’ve Got The Love. Florence will face tough competition from acts such as Kasabian and Arctic Monkeys, but she is widely expected to come out on top. The winners, voted for by readers of Mojo magazine, will be announced in London on June 10th.

The news comes as yet another plus for what has been a sensational twelve months for Florence and the Machine, and as the band currently tour the UK.

The Florence and the Machine UK tour kicked off this week at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre and includes visits to a number of top UK venues including London’s HMV Apollo, Blackpool Winter Garden’s and Edinburgh Corn Exchange. The tour draws to a close with a huge headline show at Cooper’s Field, Cardiff.
