Florence and the Machine debut new material ahead of Latitude headline appearance

June 30th, 2010 by Ewan Eyre

Florence and the Machine were one of the hits of last weekend’s Glastonbury Festival, drawing one of the biggest crowds in the history of the festival’s ‘Other’ Stage.

Florence performed new singles Strangeness and Charm, and Heavy In Your Arms, a song recorded for the latest Twilight film. As well as these tracks, the crowd were treated to a breathtaking cover of Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain.

Florence and the Machine will be headlining Latitude Festival on Friday 16th July and music fans can expect much more of the same magic showcased at Glastonbury. Latitude Festival tickets are still widely available from trusted ticket websites, and Friday day tickets are currently trading for £100 on fan-to-fan ticket exchange website Viagogo. Weekend ticket prices start at £209.

The festival will also host the likes of Vampire Weekend, Belle and Sebastian, Laura Marling, Rodrigo Y Gabriella, The Temper Trap and The Maccabees.
