Kings Of Leon look ahead to V Festival after huge Hyde Park show

July 1st, 2010 by Ewan Eyre

Kings Of Leon played to a sell-out 60,000 crowd last night at London’s Hyde Park, and hailed the show as one of the best experiences of their lives. The band performed a host of new material to their fans, as well as tracks from their extensive back catalogue, including Sex On Fire, Molly’s Chamber and The Bucket.

Lead singer Caleb Followill told the crowd during the show, “It’s been one of the greatest experiences of my life. Thank you all very much. One of these days, when we’re all fat and bald…or balder, and we’re sitting in Tennessee telling all our kids about all the great things that happened to us, this is gonna be one of those.”

The band were supported by The Black Keys, The Drums, The Features and The Whigs. All of the bands drew big crowds, despite the early show times. The Black Keys played for almost an hour, with a set based around their latest album, Brothers.

Kings Of Leon will play two more shows here in the UK this year, and can expect an even bigger audience as they headline V Festival in both Shifnal and Chelmsford on August 21st and August 22nd. V Festival tickets are currently trading on the ticketing market between £79 and £1700. The cheapest Kings Of Leon day ticket for Chelmsford V Festival is priced at £98, listed on Viagogo. The lowest price Kings Of Leon Day ticket for Shifnal V Festival is priced at £116 and is listed on Seatwave.

V Festival weekend tickets for Chelmsford can be picked up for £210 and Shifnal weekend ticket prices start at £230.
