With James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem electing to retire while at the top, many thought that his band’s appearance at Bestival on the Isle Of Wight in September would be LCD Soundsystem’s last live performance in the UK.

Thankfully, they were proved mistaken.

Instead, LCD Soundsystem will embark on a joint headline tour of the UK in November with fellow electronic act Hot Chip – particularly famous for their songs Over And Over and Ready For The Floor. They will play songs from their excellent fourth album One Life Stand, and with multi-instrumentalist Al Doyle having toured live with LCD Soundsystem before, perhaps news of the joint tour ought to be little surprise. In fact, rumours are currently circulating that there will be a multitude of collaborations – with each group joining the other on stage for huge live versions of their songs.

LCD Soundsystem tickets are on sale now for the tour dates below – as well as their forthcoming appearances at Leeds and Reading Festival and Bestival:

November 12th 2010 – Cardiff International Arena
November 13th 2010 – Sheffield Magna Arena
November 15th 2010 – Manchester Apollo
