Vampire Weekend tickets to go on sale on Friday for UK tour

July 19th, 2010 by Adam Davies

Vampire Weekend have become hugely popular in the UK in the last two years. Their eponymous debut album was a plethora of genres – pop, indie rock and African rhythms were all thrown in with great aplomb, and the resulting hits M79, Oxford Comma, A-Punk and Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa were all excellent examples of their innovative charm.

Their second album Contra was released in January 2010 and built on their success – hitting the top spot on the US Billboard Top 200 – and the quirky act have announced UK tour dates for November and December 2010 in support of the LP.

Vampire Weekend tickets go on sale on Friday July 23rd 2010 at 09:00 for the following live dates:

November 25th 2010 – Blackpool Winter Gardens
November 26th 2010 – Wolverhampton Civic Hall Bar
November 28th 2010 – Edinburgh Corn Exchange
November 29th 2010 – Sheffield O2 Academy
