X Factor excitement continues as Mary Byrne has been made instant favourite to win the competition. The 50 year-old single mother blew judges away with her performance of classic Ben E. King track I Who Have Nothing – famously performed by Tom Jones – and she is already being talked up as a global superstar in the vein of Susan Boyle – or “Subo.”

Her biggest competition in the betting market currently comes from Gamu Nhengu, but with the X Factor only a couple of weeks in there is still time for plenty of talent to rise to the surface. However, X Factor tickets are already on sale for the UK tour to take place in spring 2011 – where fans will be able to see all the show’s finalists performing live in concert.
