Shane Williams out of final Six Nations match

March 16th, 2011 by James Barnes

Wales’ record try scorer Shane Williams may have played his last Six Nations game after a knee injury has ruled him out for the rest of the season.

Williams, who hinted that the match against France on Saturday would be his final Six Nations appearance, damaged knee ligaments in the win over Ireland last week.

A scan has revealed the injury is very serious, and Williams will have a fight on his hands to be fit for the World Cup.

France v Wales tickets are available now.
