Muse’s Matt Bellamy condemns London riots

August 11th, 2011 by rupertdavies

Matt Bellamy, the frontman of Muse, has given his reaction to the recent riots which have spread up and down the country.

The singer of one of the world’s biggest bands posted a message on Twitter, questioning the motive of the rioters: “A violent expression of unfairness in society or just dumb f***s yearning for a hug from daddy? This is no Uprising.” It is thought the use of the capitalised word Uprising is a reference to the Muse song of the same name.

Muse are set to play Reading and Leeds Festivals at the end of August, and tickets are selling for below face value.

Reading Festival tickets are available now.
