In the statement posted on the official Westlife website, the band said, “We today announce our plan to go our separate ways after a greatest hits collection this Christmas and a farewell tour next year.

Tinie Tempah is set to perform UK arena shows throughout October and November.

The event is due to get underway this Thursday, 8th September, with performances from the likes of Pendulum, Bjork, The Cure, Primal Scream, PJ Harvey and Brian Wilson set top take place across the weekend.

Bad weather has hit the festival in previous years, most notably in 2009, but this has never prevented fans from enjoying the array of entertainment on offer.

Following the enormous success of Adele’s second album, 21, which has now been sat in the top 5 of the UK album chart for over 32 weeks, her September jaunt has become one of the most anticipated tours of 2011.

The 21-year-old singer performed a rendition of Adele’s Someone Like You, with Rowland going on to state afterwards, “I’m so emotional. I whispered to Gary before you started singing – if this audition goes the way I think it’s going to go then it’s going to be amazing.

“Because I had a dream about this song. And the fact you came here and stood on that x and sang that song so beautiful. You have the X factor and then some.”

Louis Walsh then stated, “I’ve been doing this show for eight years and this is what it’s all about – finding someone who deserves a break, and you deserve a break because you’ve got talent.”

Jade has automatically become one of the favourites to make the finals of this year’s competition, and will be widely expected to take part in the 2012 X Factor Live Tour.

David Guetta currently sits second in the UK chart, followed by Will Young’s latest album, Echoes. UK singer Adele has slipped down to number four in the chart with her album, 21, which has not fallen out of the Top Five since its release 32 weeks ago.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to tour the UK later this year, after confirming a series of arena shows last month. The jaunt will include three night’s at London’s O2 Arena, as well as concerts in Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield and Birmingham.
