Lady GaGa dominates MTV EMA’s and gives stunning live performance (video)

US singer Lady GaGa picked up four awards at last night’s MTV Europe Music Awards, winning the Best Female, Best Song, Best Video and Biggest Fans categories at the ceremony in Belfast.

The pop sensation celebrated her success with a performance of her latest single, Marry The Night, footage of which can be seen below.

Other winners on the night included Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and Linkin Park. The full list of awards is as follows:

The full list of nominees for this year’s MTV EMA’s has been confirmed. Lady GaGa has dominated the list, picking up six nominations, whilst Katy Perry and Bruno Mars both have four nominations each.

Adele, Justin Bieber and 30 Seconds To Mars are each shortlisted for three awards, whilst on the back of the announcement of a December 2011 Coldplay UK tour, the band have been nominated for best UK and Ireland act.

The 18th Annual MTV EMA’s will take place at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena on November 6th, with the ceremony set to be broadcast live on MTV.

30 Seconds To Mars current tour could be their last

Aspersions that the current 30 Seconds To Mars tour could be their last were heightened today following an interview with Kerrang.

Previously the band indicated that their current tour could be their last, and this was further suggested when Jared Leto (leadsinger) spoke to Kerrang this week.

He told the magazine, “A lot of artists peak or get burned out. A lot of times they stop trying and those are all dangers. It took two years to make ‘This Is War’. Touring it has been another two years. Do I have that in me again? I don’t know.”

The band will be performing at this weekend’s Reading and Leeds Festivals along with the likes of My Chemical Romance and Muse.

The full list of stage times has been confirmed for next weekend’s Leeds Festival.

The three-day event is held at Bramham Park from Friday 26th – Sunday 28th August. Friday will see Muse headline the main stage, whilst on Saturday My Chemical Romance take the top spot, and Sunday sees a joint headline position shared by The Strokes and Pulp.

The full stage times have been released for this weekend’s Reading Festival.

Taking place from this Friday (August 26th) to Sunday (August 28th) and will see headline performances from My Chemical Romance, The Strokes and Pulp, and Muse will close the festival. The festival has music kicking off from 11.00-11.30 each day.

30 Seconds to Mars enthralled crowds gathered at Belfast’s Custom House Square last night (August 16th), watch an acoustic performance of the The Kill below.

Following this performance, 30 Seconds To Mars will be performing at Reading and Leeds Festivals later this month with acts including My Chemical Romance, Muse and The Strokes.

The Strokes and Pulp to share headline slot at Reading and Leeds

When the line-up was first announced there was always much debate as to who should headline between Pulp and The Strokes, but it has been recently revealed that the two bands will share the honours at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals.

Pulp are brit-pop superstars who have recently come back to play a Summer of festivals, while The Strokes are New York’s indie giants who many claim to be the best indie band of the 21st century. With such illustrious careers deciding who should headline above the other was always going to be difficult, but now the headline title will be shared with Pulp to finish off the night at Leeds (they are a northern band) and The Strokes will do the same at Reading.

Also playing on the Reading and Leeds bill this year are acts including My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds to Mars and Muse.

30 Seconds to Mars spark rumours of UK tour

30 Seconds to Mars are expected to reveal dates of a UK tour soon after their frontman hinted it was being organised.

In a message on Twitter, presumably concerning those affected by recent rioting in London, lead singer Jared Leto said: “Sending our thoughts to our brothers + sisters in the UK!!! Shannon + Tomo and our crew are there as well prepping the next leg of the tour.”

Shannon + Tomo refer to the other two-thirds of the band, suggesting they are organising a UK tour. Current speculation suggests that the tour could take place in December, following the band’s France and Austria tour in November.

30 Seconds to Mars tour dates will be revealed as soon as possible.

30 Seconds To Mars are double winners at Kerrang Awards

Actor turned musician Jared Leto’s band 30 Seconds To Mars picked up to awards at last nights Kerrang awards.

The band walked away with ’best International Band’ and ‘Best Single’ for ‘Hurricane’ making them the big winners of last night’s event.

Other winners included My Chemical Romance who picked up ‘Best Video’ for ‘Na Na Na’ ( although they were nominated in five categories) and Bring Me The Horizon won ‘Best Album’ for ‘There Is A Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret’

Ozzy Osbourne got ‘Kerrang Legend’ and The Kerrang Inspiration award went to Def Leppard.

My Chemical Romance nominated for five Kerrang! awards

US rock band My Chemical Romance have been nominated for a total of five Kerrang! awards. The US band, who are set to headline this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals, are up for Best Single, Best Video, Best Live Act, Best Album and Best International Act.

Bands such as Bullet for my Valentine, 30 Seconds to Mars and You Me At Six are also up for awards. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on June 9th.

The news comes following the success of My Chemical Romance’s fourth studio album, which was released in late 2010. My Chemical Romance tickets are on sale now for the band’s summer UK festival appearance.

The Kooks and White Lies confirmed for Coke Festival

The Kooks and White Lies have been announced to play this year’s Coke Live Music Festival in Poland.

The two-day event is to take place on August 19 and August 20 at the Aviation Museum Ground in Krakow. Other acts that have been confirmed include Interpol and You Me At Six.

In the five years since its debut, the organisers have attempted to transform the event into a classic summer festival. “The event is extending its range with guitar music and is changing its profile from a city festival to a classic summer festival,” says Mikołaj Ziółkowski of Alter Art.

The festival has previously played host to Muse, 30 Seconds to Mars and My Chemical Romance.

The Kooks recently revealed that they are going to let fans decide where they perform in the UK this summer.

My Chemical Romance will be headlining Reading on the Friday and Leeds on Saturday, with support from 30 Seconds To Mars, The Offspring, Deftones, Rise Against, Bring Me The Horizon, The Blackout and Architects.

The Strokes will top the bill at Reading on Saturday and Leeds on Sunday, along with performances from Pulp, The National, Jimmy Eat World, Madness, Two Door Cinema Club, Seasick Steve, The Pigeon Detectives and The Joy Formidable.

Muse will headline Reading on Sunday and Friday in Leeds, with support from Elbow, Interpol, Friendly Fires, Enter Shikari, The View, Frank Turner and We Are The Ocean.

Beady Eye, Janes Addiction, 2many DJ’s, White Lies, Crystal Castles, The Streets, Noah and the Whale, Bombay Bicycle Club and Death From Above 1979 have also all been confirmed to appear across the weekend.

Reading Festival will take place at Richfield Avenue from the 26th to 28th August, whilst Leeds Festival will take place at Bramham Park across the same weekend. Weekend tickets will be priced at around £190, whilst day tickets will be priced at £80.

Kings Of Leon nominated for Best, and Worst band at NME Awards

Kings Of Leon have been nominated for Best International Band at this year’s NME Awards, as well as being put forward for Worst Band. The group will go up against the likes of Arcade Fire, The Drums and Vampire weekend in the Best Band category, whilst finding themselves going head to head with JLS, 30 Seconds To Mars and The Jonas Brothers as the worst act of last year.

Kings Of Leon released their latest album in 2010, Come Around Sundown, which included hit single Radioactive. They sold out a huge summer how at London’s Hyde Park, whilst also performing at UK arenas throughout December.

Love them or hate them, Kings Of Leon will be returning to the UK live scene in 2011, with a series of outdoor summer shows. 30 Seonds To Mars tickets for three extra shows this November are now available. The band will now perform at Brighton Centre on Thursday 25th November, Cardiff International Arena on Friday 26th November and Newcastle Metro Radio Arena on Saturday 27th November.

The band were previously confirmed to perform at London O2 Arena, Birmingham NIA and Aberdeen Exhibition Centre before finishing the tour at Manchester Central on Saturday 4th December.

30 Seconds To Mars will return to the UK this November for their latest arena tour. The band will begin the jaunt with a performance at Brighton Centre on Monday 19th November and will stop off at London O2 Arena, Birmingham NIA and Aberdeen Exhibition Centre before finishing the tour at Manchester Central on Saturday 4th December.

30 Seconds To Mars tickets for their O2 Arena performance on Tuesday 30th November are currently trading from £23. The cheapest standing tickets are priced at £46 on fan-to-fan ticket exchange website, Seatwave.

Standing ticket prices for their Birmingham NIA show on Wednesday 1st December start at £22 from primary ticket vendors Seetickets and Ticketmaster.

The band sold out venues across the UK in February, after releasing their latest album This Is War at the end of last year.

30 Seconds To Mars have announced details of their latest UK arena tour to take place in November and December this year, they will be supported by Enter Shikari.

The band confirmed yesterday that they will be performing at Brighton Centre on Monday 29th November, London O2 Arena on Tuesday 30th November, Birmingham NIA on Wednesday 1st December, Aberdeen Exhibition Centre on Friday 3rd December and Manchester Central on Saturday 4th December.

30 Seconds To Mars tickets will be available to buy this Friday, 18th June.

30 Seconds To Mars have announced details of their latest UK Arena tour to take place in November and December this year.

The band confirmed today that they will be performing at Brighton Centre on Monday 29th November, London O2 Arena on Tuesday 30th November, Birmingham NIA on Wednesday 1st December, Aberdeen Exhibition Centre on Friday 3rd December and Manchester Central on Saturday 4th December.

30 Seconds To Mars tickets will be available to buy this Friday, 18th June.

Hard Rock Calling tickets have been falling in price in recent weeks, with tickets to see Paul McCartney on the final day of the festival, Sunday 27th June, now trading from £32. In fact, it is cheaper to buy Paul McCartney tickets for his Hard Rock Calling performance than to buy tickets for any of his scheduled stadium shows. With a general admission day ticket, fans will gain full entry to the festival and can also witness performances from the likes of Crowded House, Elvis Costello and Crosby, Stills and Nash.

Hard Rock Calling takes place in Hyde Park from Friday 25th June to Sunday 27th June. Hard Rock Calling tickets for Pearl Jam’s headline performance on the Friday can also be picked up for £32. Saturday tickets for Stevie Wonder’s headline appearance start at £45.

Download Festival tickets are still available, despite the event getting under way tomorrow. Download weekend tickets are currently available on the secondary ticket market for less than £150. Music fans with download tickets will have the chance to witness headline performances from AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine and Aerosmith. This year’s line up also includes Deftones, Motorhead, Slash, 30 Seconds to Mars, Bullet For My Valentine, The Blackout and A Day to Remember.

Hop Farm Festival tickets are also trading below face value. Hop Farm Festival may not be the most talked about festival of the summer, but it will this year play host to the likes of Bob Dylan, Pete Doherty, Van Morrison, Laura Marling and Seasick Steve. The festival takes place in Tonbridge this July and day tickets cost around £45 each, with camping tickets costing £25 on top of that.

Download tickets are still widely available from ticketing websites and weekend tickets with camping are now trading below £150. There are over 70 Download weekend tickets listes on sites such as Seatwave, Viagogo and eBay, with the cheapest currently available at £140.

Weekend ticket holders can expect headline performances from AC/DC, Aerosmith and, on the back of their Finsbury Park Rage Factor performance, Rage Against the Machine. Other acts confirmed to appear across the weekend include Deftones, Motorhead, Slash, 30 Seconds to Mars, Bullet For My Valentine, The Blackout and A Day to Remember.

The organisers of Download Festival have revealed that there will be 22 more acts confirmed to the lineup on Monday. They told fans the news via their Facebook page, where they wrote:
“22 more bands. Announced midnight on Monday. The promise of a ‘variety of genres’ and ‘something for everyone’. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty damn excited.”

Download Festival is to reveal additional details of its lineup on Friday March 22nd. The metal and rock extravaganza, which takes place from June 11th – 13th 2010, will be headlined by AC/DC, Rage Against The Machine and Aerosmith, and will include a host of other fantastic acts. Motorhead, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, Them Crooked Vultures, 30 Seconds To Mars, Bullet For My Valentine, Stone Sour, and Megadeth are amongst the other scheduled to take to the festival’s three stages.

30 Seconds to Mars Add New Tour Date
