Adele, Justin Bieber and 30 Seconds To Mars are each shortlisted for three awards, whilst on the back of the announcement of a December 2011 Coldplay UK tour, the band have been nominated for best UK and Ireland act.

The 18th Annual MTV EMA’s will take place at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena on November 6th, with the ceremony set to be broadcast live on MTV.

According to reports, Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge was struggling with illness and asked Way if he would take lead vocals on the track First Date. Footage of the collaboration can be seen below.

The band played two magnificent sets at Reading and Leeds Festivals last weekend and now it appears that a new album could be soon around the corner. In an interview with Gigwise, lead singer Gerard Way commented:

“We’re writing music every day at the moment, which was something that wasn’t happening on ‘Black Parade’.” He also went on to comment about the current state of the band, “Now it’s like this is what I do and I want to do this for the rest of my life. Everybody’s so happy.”

My Chemical Romance finished off their tour at Reading and Leeds, but it is hoped they will announce further shows in the near future.

The current forecast for today is rain, but it is set to clear up tomorrow and by Sunday should be dry with sunshine. Fans heading to the main stage today will not let the wet weather dampen their spirits as they watch headliners Muse, who have promised to play the entirety of hit album, Origin Of Symmetry, in full. Also appearing are Elbow, Interpol, and Friendly Fires, with 2manydjs and The Streets headlining the NME/Radio 1 tent.

Tomorrow will see My Chemical Romance headlining the main stage with Beady Eye topping the bill of the NME/Radio 1 tent. Sunday will see an incredible finale of The National, The Strokes and finally Pulp to close the festival.

The couple divorced last year, but now seem to be back dating, although reports suggest that their relationship is still not plain sailing as yet. The news that they now can’t go to Branson’s exotic island may not help things either.

Cheryl Cole is also no longer on the judging panel of the X Factor which started again last Saturday. Following the new series of the show, there will be an arena X Factor tour in early 2012.

Last time they performed at the festivals (in 2006) they were bottled off stage so there is evidently a certain degree of anxiety for them going in to the weekend. The lead singer Gerard Way told the Daily Star, “We haven’t felt like we’ve had anything to prove in a long time, so maybe this is the right time to do that.”

He went on to add, “We’re closing a festival where not everyone has approved of us in the past.” The comments surely indicate that they are saving something special for Reading and Leeds Festivals. Acts also on the bill include Muse, The Strokes and The Streets.

Previously the band indicated that their current tour could be their last, and this was further suggested when Jared Leto (leadsinger) spoke to Kerrang this week.

He told the magazine, “A lot of artists peak or get burned out. A lot of times they stop trying and those are all dangers. It took two years to make ‘This Is War’. Touring it has been another two years. Do I have that in me again? I don’t know.”

The band will be performing at this weekend’s Reading and Leeds Festivals along with the likes of My Chemical Romance and Muse.

Headlining this year’s Reading Festival are The Strokes, Muse and My Chemical Romance however there are a host of other great acts also performing. Pete Doherty will headline the Festival Republic Stage on the Friday night at Leeds and the Sunday night at Reading. Whilst on the Radio 1/NME Stage The Streets will be playing their last ever shows at Leeds on the Friday night and Reading on the Sunday night.

The news comes as Ghost-The Musical has proved to be a huge success in London and now everyone wants a piece of this hot production it seems. Ghost-The Musical, is an adaption from the film which starred Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore and was a romantic tale of love and death in New York City.

A huge positive reception for the musical has lead to it being booked well in to 2012 in the UK, and a production of it will start in New York in April 2012.

At the moment the punk/emo rockers are touring the US with Blink 182 and they have now announced that they plan to get back in the studio once these touring commitments are finished. Their current tour is in support of the band’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Kill Joys album and now fans can get excited by the prospect of their follow up to this seminal rock record.

Also performing at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals are acts such as Pulp, The Strokes and Muse.

Pulp are brit-pop superstars who have recently come back to play a Summer of festivals, while The Strokes are New York’s indie giants who many claim to be the best indie band of the 21st century. With such illustrious careers deciding who should headline above the other was always going to be difficult, but now the headline title will be shared with Pulp to finish off the night at Leeds (they are a northern band) and The Strokes will do the same at Reading.

Also playing on the Reading and Leeds bill this year are acts including My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds to Mars and Muse.

The band were playing the main stage at the Chicago Festival, at which all main stage performances are translated to sign language. Whilst playing classic song Romantic Rights, Grainger left his drum kit, climbed to where the translator was signing, and sang to her while she translated. The performance can be watched below.

Spinner reports that he told her after the song: “You looked lonely over there. If we had another drummer I’d come back, but I can’t… I’m staying at the Hard Rock, so look me up. I got a whole lotta signs, if you know what I’m saying, and none of them say ‘Stop’.”

The NME reports that he commented, “At the moment we’re doing festivals on the weekends and I’m back to the guitar and piano, beginning work on album number two. I want to have another album out by this time next year.”

The solo artist also went on to explain the logic behind Suego Faults; “It sounds like a place but it’s totally imaginary and came out of my subconscious. I had a dream I was trying to escape this place called Suego Faults. It was this utopia, a romantic, other-worldly, quite fantastical place.”

Wolf Gang will also be playing at this year’s V Festival alongside acts such as Plan B, the Arctic Monkeys and Lostprophets.

Title Fight are renowned for their stage energy and heavy sounds and have a live show that is certainly something to behold. Their UK tour kicks off at  King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow on the 12th December and they will go on to play such venues as Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms and the O2 Academy Birmingham. Little Roy is an unusual artist who has covered several Nirvana songs with his reggae stylings. While Young Legionnaire are a new band who feature The Automatic guitarist Paul Mullen and Gordon Moakes who is the ex bassist for Bloc Party.

The two acts added to the bill will join the likes of Muse, Pulp, The Strokes and My Chemical Romance who will all play on the main stage at the festivals in what is an amazing line up.

Speaking on an online forum, band member Mark Hoppus revealed, “The new Blink-182 album will be titled ‘Neighborhoods’ and is tentatively scheduled for release on September 27.”

The band are set to embark on a US tour with My Chemical Romance later this summer and return to the UK and Ireland next year for a full arena jaunt, after having to cancel a host of dates this year due to their commitments to working on the new album.

The Manchester indie favourites have joined forces with local brewers Robinsons of Stockport, and as reported on their official website, went through a series of tastings to create a beer which matched their preferred “style, taste and colour.” They settled on a “golden ale with a rich rounded body, smooth bitterness, subtle tang of malt and fruity aroma.” The beer will be named the Build A Rocket Boys! beer, after their recent album.

The band will play Leeds and Reading festivals later this summer, before playing shows around the world.

Rihanna and Drake have denied reports that they are currently in a relationship despite internet rumours and photographs of the pair kissing in a nightclub in Montreal last month.

Drake has stated to the New York Daily News that, “It’s not like that at all, I’m being honest. She’s just a friend, that’s all. A great artist.”

However rumours abounded when the couple were spotted together at the Buonanotte Superclub in Canada. It appears that they may want different things though, as the outstandingly successful Rihanna is looking to focus on her career, while Drake is looking for a relationship.

However despite the pair refusing to admit that they are still romantically involved, The New York Post has claimed that they were seen kissing in a bowling alley in New York last week.

Featuring headliners My Chemical Romance (Friday August 26th), The Strokes and Pulp (Saturday 27th) and Muse (Sunday 28th), the festival’s incredible line-up is almost complete. Friday night (July 8th) will see headliners Black Eyed Peas take to the main stage, supported by The Script and My Chemical Romance. The Strokes and Swedish House Mafia headline the Vodafone stage, with Leftfield and Calvin Harris topping the bill on the Heineken Green Spheres stage.

Saturday (June 8th) has headliners Foo Fighters supported by Arctic Monkeys and Beady Eye. Paolo Nutini and deadmau5 are top of the bill on the Vodafone stage while Brandon Flowers headlines the Heineken Green Spheres stage.

Closing the festival on Sunday night will be Coldplay, supported by Beyonce and Slash. On the vodafone stage, The National and Pendulum head the line-up, while Primal Scream and Chase & Status top the bill on the Heineken Green Spheres stage.

A host of other world-class bands, as well as an incredible, unique atmosphere have made the festival a favourite on the festival circuit.

Famous for its charged atmosphere and unique Scottish vibe, the three-day event once again has a world-class line-up. Latitude Festival arrives in Suffolk on July 15th, for three days of incredible music in one of the most relaxed festivals in the country. The weekend will see headline performances from The National (Friday 15th), Paolo Nutini (Saturday 16th) and Suede (Sunday 17th). Also appearing on the Obelisk Arena are Bright Eyes, Paloma Faith, The Cribs, My Morning Jacket, Glasvegas and Hurts. Headlining The Word Arena are Bombay Bicycle Club (15th), Foals (16th) and Eels (17th), with The Vaccines, Echo & The Bunnymen and Lykke Li also appearing.

On August 20th, V Festival kicks off in Chelmsford (Hylands Park) and Staffordshire (Weston Park). Headlining the two-day event are Eminem and Arctic Monkeys, with support from chart favourites such as Rihanna, Plan B, The Script, Kaiser Chiefs, Manic Street Preachers and Lostprophets. Pendulum and Dizzee Rascal headline the 4Music Stage, with Duran Duran and Chase and Status set to top the bill on The Arena Stage. The weekend is a favourite due to regularly world-class headliners and excellent atmosphere.

Both Reading Festival and Leeds Festival take place over the August bank holiday weekend, Friday 26th – Sunday 28th. Bestival is one of the summer’s latest festivals, but also one of the most critically acclaimed. The performance, now showing at the West End Wyndham’s Theatre, takes Shakespeare’s classic and sets it in 1980s Gibraltar. One of the playwright’s later works, this romantic comedy makes the most of the excellent onstage chemistry between Tennant and Tate, who are together for the first time since starring in Doctor Who. Director Josie Rourke has created a production the Telegraph describes as having a “freshness and wit about it that is so often irresistible.” With Tennant playing the role of Benedick, a soldier returning from fighting abroad, and Tate in the role of Beatrice, Benedick’s love interest, a mixture of hilarious wit, surprise and love make for a captivating performance.

Supported by Jonathan Coy playing Leonardo, Tom Bateman as Claudio, Elliot Levey as Don John and John Ramm as Dogberry, this retelling of the classic may surprise traditionalists, who will find themselves laughing at the mischievous comedy, but enthralled by elements of chilling violence that only serve to immerse the audience further in Rourke’s highly accomplished production.

The pop princess is currently on her ‘Femme Fatale’ world tour which sees her taking back her pop princess title. As her professional life gets back on track it would appear Britney is trying to do the same in her personal life.

It has been a turbulent few years for Britney following the breakdown of her marriage to Kevin Federline and father of her two children.

Jason Trawick has been dating Britney for over two years. He was her manager before recently retiring. He apparently proposed at her LA home with a romantic poem.

Actor turned musician Jared Leto’s band 30 Seconds To Mars picked up to awards at last nights Kerrang awards.

The band walked away with  ’best International Band’ and ‘Best Single’ for ‘Hurricane’ making them the big winners of last night’s event.

Other winners included My Chemical Romance who picked up ‘Best Video’ for ‘Na Na Na’ ( although they were nominated in five categories) and Bring Me The Horizon won ‘Best Album’ for ‘There Is A Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret’

Mark Ronson surprised girlfriend Josephine De La Baume when he proposed on a La Rochelle beach with a bespoke ring.

The 26 year old actress and model was surprised by Marks proposal and by her own reaction, as she had thought she didn’t wanted to get married but found herself  ”super-excited” “even more excited than annoying girls in romantic comedies.”

The couple have been dating for two years and tie the knot on September the 3rd, in her parents house in Provence. Mark designed a yellow diamond ring with is ‘beautiful’ according to Josephine.

Mark performs this weekend at Rockness Festival and  The Old Royal Naval College in july.

Bands such as Bullet for my Valentine, 30 Seconds to Mars and You Me At Six are also up for awards. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on June 9th.

The news comes following the success of My Chemical Romance’s fourth studio album, which was released in late 2010. My Chemical Romance tickets are on sale now for the band’s summer UK festival appearance.

The tour will now start May 21 in Aarhus, Denmark. The two dates that have been newly cancelled are in Tel Aviv, Israel and Bucharest, Romania.

Ferry was last week admitted to hospital, apparently as ‘seriously ill’. He was released the following day and his management said his visit was just ‘routine tests’.

Ferry’s publicist had recently insisted that the singer’s tour would go on as planned but it has now been announced that five of the six April dates have been postponed.

Fans will hope he recovers in time for his U.K dates which include a slot at Hop Farm festival.

She said: ‘Wouldn’t that be great? No one has asked me about that, but I might offer that up.

‘Whitney Houston might sing it, or I will – I would do anything for them. Elton John could play for me and I could sing the song, or he could sing a duet with me. I am sure he has been invited; I haven’t been invited to the wedding… I think it is wonderful, very romantic.’

The singer, who will be touring the UK this summer, also said that she wouldn’t make a good judge on The X Factor and would say no even if Simon Cowell invited her to be on the panel for the US show.

The two-day event is to take place on August 19 and August 20 at the Aviation Museum Ground in Krakow. Other acts that have been confirmed include Interpol and You Me At Six.

In the five years since its debut, the organisers have attempted to transform the event into a classic summer festival. “The event is extending its range with guitar music and is changing its profile from a city festival to a classic summer festival,” says Mikołaj Ziółkowski of Alter Art.

The festival has previously played host to Muse, 30 Seconds to Mars and My Chemical Romance.

Chelsea progressed to this stage through an easy win over a Copenhagen side who weren’t match fit. It is the close season in Denmark and Chelsea strolled through the game with relative ease, despite the 0-0 second leg draw. Chelsea’s season started as the previous one finished, obliterating opponents off the park and seemingly on their way to keeping the Premier League title. But November saw a slump in form and it’s one they have never really recovered from. The £50m addition of Fernando Torres was a huge statement of intent, but his eight games are yet to produce a goal.

It is likely that manager Carlo Ancelotti will go with Didier Drogba ahead of Fernando Torres. The Chelsea players are still getting to grips with the Spaniard and although he has been praised for his movement off the ball, Chelsea are a more formidable unit with a front three of Anelka, Malouda and Drogba.

Manchester United are 11 points clear of Chelsea in the Premier League and well on their way to regaining the title. But a Champions league quarter-final is different – domestic dominance shouldn’t play too heavy a part in this game. United will be boosted by Wayne Rooney showing signs of himself with a hat-trick against West Ham yesterday – both with the goals and the foul mouthed celebration for the third. Rio Ferdinand was back in training and his return alongside Nemanja Vidic will be a massive boost should he play. Chris Smalling has equipped himself well this season but if Rio doesn’t make it, this game will be his biggest test yet.

Should Manchester United win the tie, Chelsea will face a trophy-less season and Carlo Ancelotti will be under increased pressure. Owner Roman Ambramovich is desperate to see the Champions League in London but if any manager can do it, three time winner Carlo Ancelotti can.

The band were speaking to BBC Radio 1 prior to recording a version of the 1995 single for the Live Lounge.

Talking about the song, guitarist Frank Iero said: “This is a song that, growing up in New Jersey, it was very important to me and Mikey [Way]. It was very relevant to us, feeling like you were in a place you could never get out of, that you were never going to escape.”

He added: “I remember pushing carts at a supermarket listening to this song on headphones on a cassette player and wondering whether the hell I was ever going to get out of New Jersey.”

He also stated: “It  speaks to regular people and that’s why it’s so great. And they’re an amazing band.”

The justification will probably do little to stop the vitriol the band has received, however.
