My Morning Jacket Announce Tour with Band Of Horses

Kentucky outfit My Morning Jacket have just released news of their latest tour, which will take in the US, Canada and Europe along the way.

The band will be joined by Band of Horses who have been touted as ones to watch this year.

The tour begins in Memphs, TN on 4th May and carries on until August 2012 taking in a number of European festivals including Germany’s Hurricane Festival and the UK’s Hop Farm Festival.

The full list of stage times has been confirmed for next weekend’s Leeds Festival.

The three-day event is held at Bramham Park from Friday 26th – Sunday 28th August. Friday will see Muse headline the main stage, whilst on Saturday My Chemical Romance take the top spot, and Sunday sees a joint headline position shared by The Strokes and Pulp.

The full stage times have been released for this weekend’s Reading Festival.

Taking place from this Friday (August 26th) to Sunday (August 28th) and will see headline performances from My Chemical Romance, The Strokes and Pulp, and Muse will close the festival. The festival has music kicking off from 11.00-11.30 each day.

Deftones announce Reading and Leeds warm up show

Deftones are set for much anticipated performances at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals. Now it has been announced that before they take to the stage at Reading and Leeds they will play a warm up show in London.

The concert will be on August 24th at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire and support will come from exciting new British rock band Pulled Apart By Horses.

Music fans set to watch Isle Of Wight Festival from home

Thousands of music fans who were not able to attend this year’s Isle Of Wight festival are now set to watch the event from the comfort of their own homes, with the whole festival set to be broadcast live in 3D.

The festival will take place this weekend in Newport, from 10th to 12th June, and is headlined by Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters and Kasabian. Other acts set to appear include Kaiser Chiefs, Courteeners, Band Of Horses, We Are Scientists, Pulp, Iggy and the Stooges, Seasick Steve, Beady Eye, The Script and Plan B.

The event will be the first ever UK festival broadcast live in 3D, with this year’s other major event taking place on the Isle Of Wight, Bestival, set to receive the same treatment in September.

NME Awards Big Gig tickets: Foo Fighters, Cee Lo Green and more confirmed

The NME Awards Big Gig will take place on the 25th February 2011, and iconic rock band, Foo Fighters, have been confirmed to headline the show at Wembley Arena. Cee Lo Green, on the back of his hit single ‘Forget You’ will also perform, along with Band Of Horses and No Age.

The show will be the Foo Fighters first UK gig of 2011, with two performances scheduled to take place at Milton Keynes National Bowl on the 2nd and 3rd July 2011.

NME Awards Big Gig tickets will go on sale on Friday 21st January at 9am.

Foo Fighters have been confirmed to headline the NME Awards Show Big Gig at Wembley Arena on 25th February. The band will be joined by acts such as Cee-Lo Green, Band Of Horses and No Age for their first UK show of 2011.

The band will headline the concert as they prepare to release their latest album.

Foo Fighters tickets for the Wembley Arena, London show will go on general sale on Friday 21st January whilst tickets for the band’s other 2011 shows are already on sale.They will perform two concerts at Milton Keynes National Bowl in July, with support coming from the likes of Biffy Clyro, Jimmy Eat World and Death Cab For Cutie. The band will also headline The Isle Of Wight, T In The Park and Oxegen Festivals this summer.

There are over 6,000 Muse tickets still available for the band’s upcoming shows at Lancashire County Cricket Club on 4th September, and Wembley Stadium on 10th and 11th September, with prices starting at £33.

The cheapest tickets currently available are for the show on the 10th September, and are for seats located in the second tier of the stadium. For the show on the following night, ticket prices start at £60.

Sometimes it seems preposterous that there are only three people in Muse. The amount of layers to the sound they make is quite astounding for a trio, and only serves to illustrate the ambition behind Matt Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard’s music.

Muse have come a long way since the early days of Showbiz and Origin Of Symmetry, and third album Absolution illustrated the higher level that the band were aiming for. Black Holes and Revelations and Resistance have built on these foundations further, and Muse’s gigs at Lancashire County Cricket Club and Wembley Stadium in September sees them at the very top of their game.

However, such is the rate that the British band continue to evolve that they could yet exceed their past contemporaries both in terms of popularity and brilliance.

Muse, the ambitious rock band of Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Christopher Wolstenholme, absolutely stunned festival fans at T In The Park with an incredible live performance on Friday.

Beginning with Uprising, they moved swiftly on to Supermassive Black Hole and Map Of The Problematique, before taking it back a few years with New Born. Other classic Muse songs featured in a fan-friendly set, with Hysteria, Nina Simone cover Feeling Good, Time Is Running Out, Starlight and Stockholm Syndrome all going down to a rapturous reception.

Muse then returned for an encore of Plug In Baby and Knights Of Cydonia, with frontman Bellamy screaming Scotland as the set came to a close.

The Devon band will embark on a short UK tour in late summer 2010, and Muse tickets are on sale now for their September concerts in Manchester and London. Each gig will be boosted by some fantastic support acts, and a full list of their openers and gig information is below:

Muse tickets are in high demand after thousands of fans across the UK witnessed the band’s breathtaking headline performance at Glastonbury festival. As well as a boost in record sales, ticket sales for two shows at Wembley Arena and a concert at Lancashire County Cricket Club have risen.

Muse will perform at Lancashire County Cricket Club on Saturday 4th September, and will be supported by Editors, The Temper Trap and Pulled Apart By Horses.

For their Wembley Arena show on Friday 10th September, the support acts will be Lily Allen, The Big Pink and White Rabbits.

For the second Muse Wembley Arena show, the band will be supported by Biffy Clyro, White Lies and I Am Arrows.

Band Of Horses add further UK dates

Band Of Horses singer Ben Bridwell has one of the most wonderfully emotional voices in current music, and it comes as no surprise that word of his group is spreading fast. After their two concerts in London attracted fans in their thousands, the band have booked additional concerts in Cambridge, Manchester and Oxford in support of their forthcoming album Infinite Arms. Band Of Horses reveal new album artwork

South Carolina rock act Band Of Horses have revealed the artwork for their new album, which will be called Infinite Arms. It follows the band’s tradition of a picturesque scene with their logo in the centre that started with their debut Everything All The Time.

Band Of Horses return to the UK to play dates in May and June to promote the album, and will also support Snow Patrol at two of their UK dates this summer.

Band of Horses announce details of new album

American indie-rockers Band of Horses have announced details of their new album, set to be released on May 17th. The new album will be titled Infinite Arm’s and will be the follow up to their highly acclaimed previous release, Cease to Begin. A statement from the band said that the new record has been influenced by “the serene woods of Northern Minnesota.”

The news comes as the band prepare themselves for two upcoming shows in London, the first on 12th April at KOKO in Camden, followed by another Camden gig on 9th June at the Roundhouse. Tickets for both of these shows are still available, and prices can be compared here on Tixdaq.com.

Band of Horses have gained an enourmous amount of praise for their live shows, and can also be seen supporting Snow Patrol on their UK tour this year.

2010 is going to be an exciting year for American rockers Band Of Horses. After being confirmed as the support act for Snow Patrol’s UK dates in June, their own headline show at Camden’s KoKo in April sold out in an unbelievable 23 minutes. The band naturally want to please all their fans who missed out on tickets to the April show, and so will perform at the Roundhouse – also in Camden – on June 9th 2010.

Snow Patrol reveal further details of UK tour

Snow Patrol have announced further details of their summer tour set to take place in Bangor and Glasgow this June. The Scottish rockband will headline Ward Park in Bangor on June 5 before performing at Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park on June 12. They will be supported by Band Of Horses for both dates. General Fasco are also set to perform in Bangor, with Frightened Rabbit due to appear in Glasgow.

Tickets for the Bangor show are available now, while tickets for the Glasgow event are expected to go on sale soon and will be available through Tixdaq.com.

Organiser’s of Lollapalooza 2009 have confirmed Kings of Leon, Depeche Mode, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Jane’s Addiction and Beastie Boys as headliners for this years summer festival.

Also included on what promises to be one of the world’s premium summer 2009 line ups are Vampire Weekend, TV On The Radio, Lou Reed, Passion Pit, Glasvegas, White Lies and Chairlift

The Loollapalooza festival is widely regarded as one of the United States premiere festivals for music fans attracting a broad line up mainstream, emerging and cult acts.

The festival which is due to take place in Chicago’s Grant Park in Chicago this coming August 7, 8 and 9 will also host Animal Collective, Band Of Horses, Of Montreal, Ben Folds, Fleet Foxes, Silversun Pickups, Kaiser Chiefs, Crystal Castles and Santigold will also perform as will Lykke Li, Friendly Fires, Bat For Lashes, and new york rockers The Virgins.

Brighton’s Great Escape festival has expanded its line up to include The Maccabees, White Denim, School Of Seven Bells, Chairlift and James Yuill.

Early line up for Great Escape Festival revealed

Metronomy, The Golden Silvers and a host of hotly-tipped acts including The Soft Pack, VV Brown, The Big Pink and Passion Pit are to perform at the three-day event in Brighton.

The new music festival, the UK’s answer to Austin’s SXSW festival, will see more than 300 artists performing across 34 venues from 14-16 May.

Last year The Ting Tings and Vampire Weekend played at the event.

Other acts confirmed for this year’s line-up include Kissy Sell Out, Esser, Future Of The Left, Micachu, Pulled Apart By Horses, The Chapman Family, Johnny Foreigner, Dananakroyd, Yves Klein Blue, John Steel Blues Band and The Joy Formidable.

Tickets for the event, which is now in its fourth year, are currently on sale now.

In previous years, The Great Escape has helped to break acts such as The Klaxons, The Kooks, Glasvegas, Gossip, Adele, Jack Penate, Gallows, Kate Nash, Sam Sparro and Crystal Castles.
