The show will take place on the 26th October, just two days after the release of the album.

Speaking about the show, the band’s frontman Chris Martin stated, “Until we can come to a video as good as Single Ladies by Beyonce, we have to rely on just the meat and vegetables of playing songs live, and this is just a nice way of doing it for a few more people at once.”

The band are set to perform three UK shows this December, following a summer of successful headline festival appearances.

Adele, Justin Bieber and 30 Seconds To Mars are each shortlisted for three awards, whilst on the back of the announcement of a December 2011 Coldplay UK tour, the band have been nominated for best UK and Ireland act.

The 18th Annual MTV EMA’s will take place at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena on November 6th, with the ceremony set to be broadcast live on MTV.

Regardless of Jessie J’s own success it appears that she was in awe of Beyonce. She told the Press Association, “I met her recently for the first time, and I sometimes can’t understand when people meet me and they’re shaking and they can’t touch me, but I met her and just held her hand and said ‘I just want to say thank you for making me feel like I can do this’.”

The news of Beyonce’s pregnancy has shocked the world as her child will surely be the most talented human ever created. A source has reportedly told The Sun, “Kanye is as excited about the baby as Beyonce and Jay-Z. He’s been saying he’s going to be godfather and is absolutely thrilled. It will be a huge honour for him.”

Indeed it would make some degree of sense for Kanye to be the godfather as he has become close to the couple over the last year during the recording of his collaborative album Watch The Throne with Jay-Z. The pair will also be touring America later this year.

Although organisers say around 26,000 tickets were taken up in the registration period, and despite tickets going on general sale yesterday morning, there are still plenty of tickets remaining. She told MTV “I’m really very honored and excited to open the show. But I won’t reveal anything; I want it to be a surprise. “I was just really excited and I was really happy because they asked me after I told them what I wanted to do. Simmons is one half of production team Jugganauts, who worked on Rihanna’s previous album Loud, and got to know the singer well.

“From what I understand, she is closing the album up now,” said Simmonds in an interview with MTV.

“We did two records for her that she really, really loved and I’m really excited about them as well. They are records that we wrote and produced as the Jugganauts.”

A source also revealed to the Times of India that Rihanna has recorded a collaboration with Beyonce for the album.

The tour is reported to have grossed £448 million which defeated the Rolling Stones previous record £558 million and will finish tonight at Moncton’s Magnetic Hill Music Festival.

The news that the tour has grossed this insane amount of money will  not please those who accuse U2 of evading taxes, despite the Edge’s denial of these evasion accusations.

The cookery book will apparently be focused upon soul food and will be heavily inspired by the home cooking of Beyonce’s mother. A source who is supposedly close to Beyonce  has told the Mirror about the inspiration for the book.

“Her Mum Tina started the tradition whereby anywhere in the world they are, she always puts on a soul food spread of collard greens, cornbread, mac’n'cheese and fried chicken. Bey would love to include these family recipes in a book.”

The film entitled A Star is Born is a remake of the classic which will also star Leonardo DiCaprio. Directing the film will be giant of the Hollywood world Clint Eastwood.

Appearing on Good Morning America, the star told, ”Clint Eastwood? Can you believe that? I can’t believe it still. When I met with him I was just in awe. I’m so, so honoured that he believes in me. And I can’t wait to do this film.”

The BBC Midweek Chart puts her at the top, where she has been for 26 weeks. Beyonce’s 4 is at number 2, whilst Adele’s debut, 19, is at number 3. 19 has been in the chart for 123 weeks so far.

Adele’s 21 was recently nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, for which she has been given odds of 6/1 to win. She will be touring the UK in September, performing sixteen shows around the country.

It appears as though the band’s third album, Skying, is currently at number 3 in the BBC midweek chart. For a  band who have embraced the alternative with such aplomb, their achievement in the mid week chart is testament to the substance that lies behind the dark facade of the Southend band.

The success comes following their release of the album as a free stream to fans, a week before the album was physically available for sale. They have thus perhaps jumped onto the free internet release bandwagon which does not seem to deter album sales in many cases.

The festival, which takes place in Balado, near Kinross, Scotland, will run from Friday July 6th to Sunday July 8th. Michael Eavis (founder and curator) of Glastonbury has told the Times that the Festival has only got “another three or four years left” to the shock of the nation.

The revelation comes after the Festival has just celebrated over 40 years of success and triumph and literally changed festivals in Britain, and the world, forever.

In a shocking interview with the Times, Eavis revealed that ““It is a very scary business. Womad and Latitude are not selling out. Partly it’s economics, but there is a feeling that people have seen it all before.”

Eavis’s revelation has come despite the Festival enjoying a great year, with tickets selling out in hours and thousands bitterly disappointed to be unable get their hands on them. Performances from the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Beyonce and U2 delivered certainly something special to those who were lucky enough to get wristbands, and yet it seems that Britain’s biggest music festival will not last forever.

His comments come as this Summer, many festivals are struggling to sell their quota of tickets, and it seems that Eavis believes this trough in the market will soon extend it’s way to the infamous Glastonbury Festival.
This lack of tickets sold has driven festival prices down. The most notable example of which comes from Latitude which takes place this weekend (15th July) where tickets are going for under half the original face value.

It was once again another triumphant weekend at this year’s Oxegen Festival in Punchestown Ireland.

This year’s headliners were The Black Eyed Peas, The Foo Fighters and Coldplay. It seems that all the headliners this year delivered suitable sets of gigantic performances to the delight of the Irish crowd. The Festival itself was ended in true Irish fashion with a great Oxegen moment, as Christy Moore came on stage with Coldplay to perform Ride On which evoked a mammoth singalong from the masses.

The acts on display this year represented a much more equal balance between pop and rock, featuring the likes of Ke$ha, The Black Eyed Peas and Beyonce mixed with the usual suspects of The Strokes, The Arctic Monkeys and The Foo Fighters. The balance however seemed to go down very well, catering for everyone’s musical tastes and providing great music all round.

The Strokes, who many argue are the band that single-handedly saved indie, performed a classic set on the Friday of Oxegen and are also down to headline this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals.

Although no one has officially confirmed this date, it seems very likely that it will be when the album is released. The question remains as to whether or not the record will live up to the colossal expectations imposed upon it by the music industry and the almost expected genius people believe it will produce.

Kanye West held a listening party for the album last night in New York without Jay Z, who is playing Oxegen this weekend. At the listening party, Kanye announced the news that Frank Ocean appears on two of the tracks and Beyonce will appear on one.

It has also been confirmed by Jay Z that he is working on his next album after the collaboration with Kanye West. Jay Z did not perform with Beyonce at Glastonbury, but he is expected to wow fans at this weekend’s Oxegen Festival in Ireland.

We are now just days away before the legendary T in the Park kicks off and to fuel your excitement for the Festival’s opening here is Fanatix’s top tips for who to go and see this weekend.

British Sea Power:  Famed for their quirky and idiosyncratic live show British Sea Power bring  an energy which leaves crowds rarely disappointed. A great indie singalong band who are playing the Red Bull Bedroom Jam Transmissions Stage on Friday evening they should not be missed.

Chase and Status: Expect guest appearances, orchestrated mayhem and a set of tunes which will set alight the Radio 1/NME Stage on the Saturday night. The band have been fine tuning their live show and now as the festival season is in full swing they have put themselves forward as top contenders with an electrifying display of dub-step intertwined with more mainstream influences.

Bright Eyes: Despite the fact they have a herd of dedicated cult fans behind them, Bright Eyes have often managed to escape the attention of mainstream success. It seems odd for a band who have so many great albums under their belt to have not gained a more populist following. Their live performances are a spectacle in themselves and they will provide a great alternative show for anyone who doesn’t fancy Beyonce or Coldplay on the Saturday night.

Foo Fighters: Forget any questions concerning the longevity of the new record, the Foo Fighters will inevitably provide the ultimate blow out as the Festival reaches it’s climax.

The Sun reports that the two superstars met for lunch in London specifically to discuss future work together. If the paper is to be believed, the rapper was in England not just to watch his wife Beyonce at Glastonbury and tennis at Wimbledon, but also to meet Adele for the collaboration possibilities. A source told the paper, “Jay has been making the most of his trip over here. It’s not often he is overwhelmed by people when he meets them, but Adele was on top form as usual. She talked him under the table. He was chuckling all the way through their chat.”

Speaking of future work together, the source said, “He’s keen to work with her, whether it’s producing or writing together. She was a huge hit in the States and he believes they could make a massive record together.”

This coming weekend (July 8th-10th) sees T In The Park descend into Balado, Scotland. Famous for its charged atmosphere and unique Scottish vibe, the three-day event once again has a world-class line-up. Latitude Festival arrives in Suffolk on July 15th, for three days of incredible music in one of the most relaxed festivals in the country. The weekend will see headline performances from The National (Friday 15th), Paolo Nutini (Saturday 16th) and Suede (Sunday 17th). Also appearing on the Obelisk Arena are Bright Eyes, Paloma Faith, The Cribs, My Morning Jacket, Glasvegas and Hurts. Headlining The Word Arena are Bombay Bicycle Club (15th), Foals (16th) and Eels (17th), with The Vaccines, Echo & The Bunnymen and Lykke Li also appearing.

Latitude Festival tickets for the weekend are currently selling for as little as £121.

On August 20th, V Festival kicks off in Chelmsford (Hylands Park) and Staffordshire (Weston Park). Headlining the two-day event are Eminem and Arctic Monkeys, with support from chart favourites such as Rihanna, Plan B, The Script, Kaiser Chiefs, Manic Street Preachers and Lostprophets. Pendulum and Dizzee Rascal headline the 4Music Stage, with Duran Duran and Chase and Status set to top the bill on The Arena Stage. The weekend is a favourite due to regularly world-class headliners and excellent atmosphere.

Both Reading Festival and Leeds Festival take place over the August bank holiday weekend, Friday 26th – Sunday 28th. Consistently having some of the best line-ups of the festival circuit has made the weekend a firm favourite of the summer. Headlining the main stage this year are Muse, My Chemical Romance and Pulp and The Strokes, with support coming from Elbow, Interpol, Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Offspring, and Jimmy Eat World. The NME/Radio 1 Stage has headline sets from 2manydjs, Beady Eye and Jane’s Addiction, with The Streets, Death From Above 1979, White Lies, Noah and the Whale, Crystal Castles and Bombay Bicycle Club adding to the excellent line-up.

Bestival is one of the summer’s latest festivals, but also one of the most critically acclaimed. Featuring a famous incredibly chilled-out atmosphere, the weekend is a frequent award winner, including best major UK festival in 2010. This year’s festival, taking place September 9th – 11th, features headliners Pendulum, The Cure and Primal Scream. Also at the Isle of Wight festival will be PJ Harvey, The Maccabees, Crystal Castle, Chromeo, Robyn, Public Enemy, Fatboy Slim and The Drums.

Other contenders announced by betting company William Hill include Leona Lewis and Beyonce. Kings of Leon drummer told Vue Cinemas on Twitter, “Hmm Daniel Craig has asked me before. I have turned him down 3 times but maybe. I’ve always wanted to work with strings so maybe yeah, that’ll be a good excuse.”

Featuring more than 700 acts across more than 30 stages, watched by more than 175,000 people, the festival is renowned worldwide for its great atmosphere and legendary performances.

This year’s Pyramid Stage headline performances come from U2 (Friday 24th), Coldplay (Saturday 25th) and Beyonce (Sunday 26th). Other acts on the infamous main stage include Morissey, Elbow, Laura Marling, Paolo Nutini and Biffy Clyro.

The Other Stage will be headlined by Primal Scream (Friday), The Chemical Brothers (Saturday) and Queens of the Stone Age (Sunday). Also playing the festival’s second stage will be Mumford & Sons, White Lies, Kaiser Chiefs, TV on the Radio, Fleet Foxes and Bright Eyes.

The John Peel Stage will see DJ Shadow (Friday), Glasvegas (Saturday) and The Streets (Sunday) headline. Other acts playing the stage named in honour of the legendary Radio 1 DJ include The Coral, Battles, Robyn, Noah and the Whale and Warpaint.

The huge festival has been running on and off since 1970, and this year is sure to live up to expectations. With a line-up nothing short of world-class, revellers and viewers at home will see some spectacular performances on stages big and small.

Beyonce’s record company Columbia raised concerns that her new album ’4′ didn’t have her usual number of hit songs on it and even requested she make alterations – which she refused to do.

It is rumoured that Columbia feel ‘Beyonce’s career has stalled a bit’ and that ‘Columbia seems to think they can get some mileage out of a comeback record with all of the girls.’ However Kelly Rowland  (who has been successful as a solo artists too, picking up two grammy awards, her recent single ‘Motivation’ featuring Lil’wayne reached the top spot of the Hot R7B/Hip Hop charts and she has just joined the judging panel on the eighth series of X Factor UK) is not keen to reunited the band.

The Bootylicious star performed a warm-up gig in France at the Palais Nikaia in Nice, where she is believed to have played the set she intends to deliver at Glastonbury. Included in the set was Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and Kings Of leon’s ‘Sex on Fire’.

The performing arts festival, which takes place from Wednesday June 22nd until Sunday June 26th, will play host to over 700 acts and more than 175,000 people. Headlining this year will be U2, Coldplay and Beyoncé. Recent photos from the site reveal completion of all the stages, including new venue The Beat Hotel which will feature nightly DJs including Erol Alkan.

In other Glastonbury news, Wayne Rooney’s brother has announced their intention to go, following a message on twitter that read “Cnt wait 4 glasto with @Wayne Rooney. Boozeville yerrrrrrrrrrrrrr.” The Sun reports that this post was mysteriously deleted within minutes, however.

Final stage times for the festival were revealed this weekend, available on the official website. Performances will finish at 23.45 each night, apart from Sunday when licensing means performances will finish at 23.15.

In an effort to make the festival more environmentally friendly, organiser Michael Eavis has announced that more than 100,000 free recycled toilet rolls will be handed out to festival-goers. He said, “There will be more than enough for everyone and more importantly it will be the right kind of loo roll.” The news comes as part of a drive to boost recycling rates at the festival to 60%, from 49% last year. A recycling barn will also be present, staffed by 80 volunteers, for revellers to leave cans and other recyclable packages. The festival is taking place at the same time as Recycle Week. Worthy Farm, the site of the festival, has also become the UK’s largest privately owned solar power station, with the addition of more than 1000 solar panels.

Friday headliners U2 will be the victims of a tax protest aimed at highlighting the band’s alleged tax avoidance. Protesters Art Uncut will float a “huge bundle of fake cash” and hold up a large illuminated sign to say “Bono Pay Up.”

In a surprise phone call, Morissey, playing Friday, has asked to meet Newcastle United midfielder Joey Barton. Revealing the news on Twitter, the footballer said, “Just had the best phone [call] of my life………..” In a separate tweet, he explained,”it was from Morissey’s personal security man asking if I would like to meet the great man @ Glastonbury? #heactuallyknowswhoiam”

Beyonce has apparently been keen to perform at the festival since her husband Jay-Z performed in 2008. However his inclusion on the line-up sparked a lot of debate and Beyonce has been hesitant to cause such controversy again.  Co-Organiser, Emily Eavis, said Chris helped talk the pop sensation round “Chris is a bit wary of people knowing he’s been so involved. I dont’ know why because it’s actually cool. ”

Beyonce’s record company are yet to announce whether they bring the release of the album forward to cover the leaked album. The official single is ‘Best Thing I Never Had’ which was co-written with Babyface, whom Beyonce praises as ”one of the most genuine icons I’ve worked with and also one of the best songwriters in the world.”

Beyonce’s new album ’4′ has been inspired by Brit sensations Adele and Florence And The Machine.

’4′ is released on June the 27th and among our British talent Beyonce was also inspired by legend’s Prince and Jackson Five.

The album is sure to be an eclectic sound as she has found inspiration in a wide range or genres and eras: “I also found a lot of inspiration in 90s R&B, Earth Wind & Fire, DeBarge, Lionel Richie, Teenie Marie… I listened to a lot of Jackson Five and New Edition, but also Adele, Florence And The Machine, and Prince,” she said. ”Add in my hip-hop influences, and you can hear how broad it is.”

wow. Thats a lot of sounds and “broad” could be a massive understatement!

’4′ is the fourth studio album from Beyonce,  perhaps this was Adele’s contribution to the inspiration process, since her albums are named after the age she was when writing them? No. Beyonce’s fans inspired her on this creative journey, lucky fans.

Meanwhile, Bruno Mars has confirmed a series of UK tour dates, in preparation for the US artist’s summer festival appearances. The ‘Grenade’ singer will perform two shows at London’s HMV Apollo and a solitary show at Birmingham O2 Acadmy in August.

New York Magazine has reported that Gate Five were developing a game where players could use motion controls to dance along to a selection of Beyonce tunes.

However, the developers now claim that Beyonce “made an extortionate demand for entirely new compensation”, and then pulled out of the project altogether.

Gate Five now plan to sue the singer for “a bad faith breach of contract so callous that, on what appeared to be a whim, she destroyed Gate Five’s business and drove 70 people into unemployment, the week before Christmas.”

It has also been suggested that showbiz couple Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow could take to the stage with Beyoncé on June 26.

The other headliners for the festival held on Worthy Farm are confirmed to be U2 and Coldplay.

The Irish supergroup surpassed the magic $558 million (£341m) mark at their recent Sao Paolo gig, following sales of over seven million tickets since the tour began in July 2009.

According to Billboard Boxscore, the 360° tour plays to an average of 63,000 people a show, and rakes in $6.4 million (£3.9 million) a night.

Last August, U2′s manager Paul McGuinness predicted the tour would break all records, saying: “This tour by the end of this year will be the biggest grossing music tour by anyone of all time, and we will still have another 30 shows next year, 20-30 shows next year.”

The massive tour is due to end in July at Canada’s Magnetic Music Hill Musical Festival. A month earlier, the band will make their bow on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage when they will headline the festival alongside Coldplay and Beyonce.

“We’ve put down a few ideas, but we don’t know how many will end up on there,” he told Billboard. “They have a very special way of working. A song is never done until the day before it comes out almost, so you never know. They’re always experimenting, so it’s not like, ‘OK, we’re finished’. It’s still an ongoing process.”

He continued: “Bono described it as futuristic. U2 going sci-fi, or something. That’s how he described it, but I don’t know.”

Asked about his approach to making music with the band, he admitted: “I’m a guitar player, so it was just me and Bono and Edge playing guitar, exchanging melodies. We were just like musicians jamming. I loved it.”

U2 are scheduled to headline this year’s Glastonbury alongside Beyoncé and Coldplay.
