Th pop superstar is currently touring her latest album, Loud, and by the end of December will have performed no less than eleven shows at London’s O2 Arena this year, including her headline slot at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball. The Wireless Festival concert is her first confirmed UK appearance of 2012, with the news coming as she prepares release her sixth studio album, Talk That Talk, later this month.

Earlier this year, the Barclaycard Wireless Festival was headlined by the Black Eyed Peas, Chemical Brothers and Pulp.

Rihanna tickets are on sale now for the singer’s remaining UK shows of 2011. Tickets to next year’s Wireless Festival will go on sale on Friday 18th November.

Janet Devlin remains the bookies favourite to win the competition, despite forgetting the words during her version of the Jackson Five’s I Want You Back, whilst many viewers were shocked to find that the controversial Frankie Cocozza kept his place in the competition after being criticised for his performance yet again by the judges. Louis Walsh decribed the singer’s rendition of The Black Eyed Peas’ I Gotta Feeling as. “Really bad karaoke,” going on to say, “I don’t know how you’re still here. You’re not a rock star, you’ll never be a rock star and the only big thing about you is your hair.”

Craig Colton, Marcus Collins, Little Mix and Misha B make up the remaining contestants.

The double eviction caused a significant increase in viewing figures for the ITV show this week, with the audience peaking at around 14.2 million.

The remaining seven X Factor contestants are likely to take part in next year’s X Factor Live Tour, which is set to hit UK arenas throughout February, March and April. The stars of the current series will perform hits from the show at venues such as London O2 Arena, Manchester MEN Arena and Birmingham LG Arena. X Factor tickets are on sale now.

The US star will join the previously announced Olly Murs, The Wanted, Pixie Lott, Jason Derulo, Calvin Harris and Labrinth.

The show will mark Rihanna’s eleventh appearance at London’s O2 Arena this year.

A source told The Mirror, “Pulling out of this weekend’s gig is the final curtain call for them – especially as they’re all such huge Jacko fans.

“Things have been taking a turn for the worse over the past few months but this signals the end.”

The band have sold over 56million albums worldwide since their debut in 2003.

The US group have stated “unavoidable circumstances” as the reason for their exit, after being announced to appear on the bill only a week ago. Chris Hunt, CEO of Global Live Events which is staging the show, said: “It is with regret that we announce the removal of Black Eyed Peas from the Michael Forever bill, but I look forward to a great night with other earth shattering artists.

“The event is really getting into gear and is going to be a fantastic evening for all.”

In what is seen as the official tribute to the late “King Of Pop” Michael Jackson, the Michael Forever Tribute Concert will take place at the Millennium Stadium on October 8th, and will feature performances from the likes of JLS, Christina Aguilera, Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis.

The news of the addition of the Black Eyed Peas has come as a bit of a surprise to some, with the group rumoured to have considered splitting up within the past few months.

The concert, which will be attended by members of the Jackson family, will also feature Ne-Yo, 3T, Cee-Lo Green, Smokey Robinson, Alien Ant Farm, Craig David, Alexandra Burke and Pixie Lott. The event will be hosted by Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx.

Adele, Justin Bieber and 30 Seconds To Mars are each shortlisted for three awards, whilst on the back of the announcement of a December 2011 Coldplay UK tour, the band have been nominated for best UK and Ireland act.

Cheryl Cole is currently working on her new record and is being aided by Black Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am. Now however tabloid reports are pairing Cheryl Cole and David Guetta together for Cheryl’s new album. A source has told The Daily Mail of the collaboration project:

“Cheryl will be a top solo star in the US, if Will has anything to do with it. The man is so well connected, and he sleeps, breathes and eats music. He has a studio at home in which he is trying out new sounds for Cheryl. He wants the best and is very picky. David is an old friend and has produced some of the best dance anthems of the past few years, so it’s a good place to start.”

David Guetta will be performing at this year’s Creamfields along with the likes of Tiesto and The Chemical Brothers.

Will.I.Am posted a photo of himself along with Cheryl on Twitter and posted, “Its me and the Tweety Nird’ in Cannes, France… Me and Cheryl Cole in the south of France having fun.”

Cheryl Cole has been replaced by N-Dubz’s Tulisa on the judging panel for the new series of the X Factor which is due to start this Autumn. Following the new series of the show, there will be an arena tour in early 2012.

The Black Eyed Peas have announced that they are going on a break from working together for an extended period of time.

The announcement came during their recent performance at Alton Towers, however the pop supergroup did announce that they would return at some point in the future.

It seems for the time being that all the members will return to their solo projects. MC Taboo announced to MTV news that, “We have decided to branch out and show the world that we as individuals could represent our own styles.”

Fergie also stated that their performance in the UK was going to be their last for quite some time.”We want you to know that we love you and thank you for the support you’ve given from the beginning. This isn’t going to be the last time you’ll see us.”

The Black Eyed Peas are playing in Madrid later this week.

It was once again another triumphant weekend at this year’s Oxegen Festival in Punchestown Ireland.

This year’s headliners were The Black Eyed Peas, The Foo Fighters and Coldplay. It seems that all the headliners this year delivered suitable sets of gigantic performances to the delight of the Irish crowd. The Festival itself was ended in true Irish fashion with a great Oxegen moment, as Christy Moore came on stage with Coldplay to perform Ride On which evoked a mammoth singalong from the masses.

The acts on display this year represented a much more equal balance between pop and rock, featuring the likes of Ke$ha, The Black Eyed Peas and Beyonce mixed with the usual suspects of The Strokes, The Arctic Monkeys and The Foo Fighters. The balance however seemed to go down very well, catering for everyone’s musical tastes and providing great music all round.

The Strokes, who many argue are the band that single-handedly saved indie, performed a classic set on the Friday of Oxegen and are also down to headline this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals.

Friday night (July 8th) will see headliners Black Eyed Peas take to the main stage, supported by The Script and My Chemical Romance. The Strokes and Swedish House Mafia headline the Vodafone stage, with Leftfield and Calvin Harris topping the bill on the Heineken Green Spheres stage.

Saturday (June 8th) has headliners Foo Fighters supported by Arctic Monkeys and Beady Eye. Paolo Nutini and deadmau5 are top of the bill on the Vodafone stage while Brandon Flowers headlines the Heineken Green Spheres stage.

Closing the festival on Sunday night will be Coldplay, supported by Beyonce and Slash. On the vodafone stage, The National and Pendulum head the line-up, while Primal Scream and Chase & Status top the bill on the Heineken Green Spheres stage.

A host of other world-class bands, as well as an incredible, unique atmosphere have made the festival a favourite on the festival circuit.

The hip hop superstars will perform a full 90-minute set in the country’s biggest theme park. Fans will have the oppurtunity to spend the day riding some of the UK’s most exciting roller-coasters before seeing the band perform in front of the famous Towers themselves.

The Montreal-based orchestral rock band will play a headline slot on Thursday (June 30th), supported by an all-star line-up of The Vaccines, Beirut and Mumford & Sons. Arcade Fire begun June with an epic headline set at Bonnaroo, and are surely set to repeat that in Hyde Park. That show featured frontman Win Butler singing crowd favourite We Used To Wait from a platform within the audience, and their show earlier in the year at Coachella featured an awe-inspiring stage show of giant balloons, so UK fans travelling to London on Thursday are sure to be delighted. The Black Eyed Peas are giving two V.I.P passes away in a Charity auction.

The generous Peas are donating the funds raised to the Robin hood Foundation, a charity tackling poverty in New York. The V.I.P tickets are being auctioned on CharityBuzz.com. and are expected to sell for $50,000 – the bidding closes today.

The winner of the tickets will get an access all areas pass to their gig on the 9th of June in Central Park in New York. Plus they will meet all the members will.i.am, Fergie, Tabooand apl.de.ap.

DJs Fearne Cotton and Greg James revealed that the ‘Born This Way’ singer will play the main stage on Sunday, May 15.

The two-day music event will take place on May 14 and May 15 at Carlisle Airport.

Southampton born DJ Scott Mills earlier revealed that 40,000 tickets for the event will be allocated via a ballot. Anyone wishing to attend has to apply via the Radio 1 website, with registration opening tomorrow morning.

Last year’s Big Weekend, held in Bangor in Nroth Wales, featured artists including Rihanna, Florence & The Machine, Cheryl Cole and Justin Bieber.

The 10-year-old singer, who is the daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, will be joined by other acts such as the Black Eyed Peas and Big Time Rush. She will  perform a medley of memorable songs,including ‘Whip My Hair’ and ’21st Century Girl’.

The annual awards are granted by the Deutsche Phono-Akademie, an association of recording companies, and are determined by the previous year’s sales. Upon receiving the award, Robbie Williams thanked the German music industry for their continued support by declaring: ‘Germany is good to us.’

Robbie has had a lot of success at the Echo Awards, having previously won the award for best international artist a whopping seven times.

Take That were one of the acts performing at the ceremony, alongside Adele and Manchester duo Hurts.

It is alleged that the number one hit has borrowed from little-known track ‘I Want You Back’, which was never released and only exists as a demo.

Wayne Wilkins, who has writing credits on both tracks, has since claimed that he cannot remember what his input into ‘I Want You Back’ was.

A High Court judge will now have to make a decision whether Cole’s debut solo hit has breached copyright laws or not. Cole is currently in the US awaiting a verdict on her role in The X Factor USA, following Simon Cowell’s claim that she is still very much “in the mix”.

Cole is re-working her solo album with Black Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am, readying it for a U.S Release. She has reportly been suffering from stress at the uncertainty of her role in the new seris of The X Factor and its American equivalent.

The promo opens with the message: “This video was filmed in Japan one week before the earthquake. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the people of Japan. Pulp have previously been confirmed to headline the Sunday evening, and are the first of many big name artists to be announced to play across the four stages at Hyde Park, London. Further dates and acts will be announced in the coming days. Wireless will take place from Friday 1st until Sunday 3rd July.

Black Eyed Peas tickets will become available as soon as the announcement is made official, expected to be this Monday 7th February.

Robbie Williams seems to be in competition with Christina Aguilera over performing with Matt Cardle, and Dannii Minogue, Matt’s mentor, seems to prefer Christina as a choice for Matt.

Rihanna has been rumoured to be paired with One Direction, and Rebecca Ferguson might get to sing with Robbie if Dannii Minogue gets her way.

All the X Factor finalists will be performing on the X Factor Live 2011 tour, along with eliminated contestants Wagner, Katie Waissel, Paije Richardson, Mary Byrne and Aiden Grimshaw.

When asked if he would appear in the show at the weekend he replied “I’ve got my fingers crossed”.
