The ‘More Than Alot’ stars – who are currently working on their third studio album – will play the Eden project venue on July 4, with rapper Labrynth set to support.

The dance group join the likes of  Frank Turner, Plan B and The Vaccines/Noah And The Whale, Blink-182 and Example, in playing an Eden session.

They are due to headline the event on July 8, with ‘Kickstarts’ rapper playing on June 30, Turner on July 1 and the ‘Strickland Banks’ man Plan B plays a show on July 6.

According to reports, Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge was struggling with illness and asked Way if he would take lead vocals on the track First Date. Footage of the collaboration can be seen below.

The single, entitled Heart’s All Gone will be on the album Neighborhoods which is out on September 26th, and offers their typical American punk/pop sound that has given them so much success in the past.

Speaking on an online forum, band member Mark Hoppus revealed, “The new Blink-182 album will be titled ‘Neighborhoods’ and is tentatively scheduled for release on September 27.”

The band are set to embark on a US tour with My Chemical Romance later this summer and return to the UK and Ireland next year for a full arena jaunt, after having to cancel a host of dates this year due to their commitments to working on the new album.

Music magazine NME reports that festival founder Stuart Galbraith has considered both Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chili Peppers for next year’s shows: “They’re both two that we’re talking to, amongst a whole list of others. I also think we could have Green Day and Blink-182 here, but none of those are confirmed.

This year’s Sonisphere saw headliners Metallica, Biffy Clyro and Slipknot. A limited number of early-bird tickets for next year’s festival go on sale this week.

In a statement, the group said they were pushing back the jaunt because work on their new album had not been completed.

“It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce our planned 2011 European Summer tour has been rescheduled. When we booked the tour last year, we were confident that we would have the new album out before the Summer. Turns out we were mistaken as the album is taking longer than we thought and won’t be out till later this year.”

They added that they didn’t want to tour again until the album had been released.

The band were also due to appear at T in the park and Oxegen Festival, but have pulled out of both. They have however added three new dates in Dublin, Belfast and Glasgow to replace the gigs that their Scottish and Irish fans have lost.

Original tickets will be valid for the rescheduled dates.

Barker said that recording sessions are going well, yet admitted it is “hard to say” how far into the process the band are.

“The sound of the record I think will be kind of the same stuff as past Blink albums, so it won’t be anything that people will be shocked by, what we’re writing in the studio at the moment. If I was to disconnect myself from it and kind of take myself out of it and be a fan, it feels like songs that have progressed from the last album.”

The group, completed by Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus, reunited in 2009 following a five-year hiatus.

The album will be the band’s first release since 2003′s Blink-182.

“I want to make sure we don’t lose that angst, I want to take that and deliver it in a package that’s very modern, using instrumentations and formulas to launch you into different places with music that is not just three-chord pop-punk with riffs. What we can do now is take the essence of what Blink-182 was and really make it into something that has a crescendo. That’s what excites me.”

Delonge and his band’s aim is to have the record released before the string of UK dates in the summer.

“We will not tour if there is no new record,” he said boldly. “The goal is to finish and squeeze it out at the very last minute so people have the new songs in time for the dates. The album will be great, I promise you that, I think it’s gonna be what everyone wants it to be; it will be fun and full of attitude but the songs are super relevant and giant sounding. Think Blink but stadium rock.”

Organisers have confirmed that the first lineup announcements will be made when the tickets go on sale. Rumours are circulating that the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Muse could headline this year.

Reading Festival takes place from August 26 to August 28 at Richfield Avenue and Leeds Festival takes place over the same dates at Bramham Park. Last year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals were headlined by Guns n Roses, Arcade Fire and Blink 182.

Original handwritten lyrics from the song ‘Rock Show’ have already had 79 bids and reached $20,300 on internet auction site eBay, with the sale continuing for another six days.

Other items include the orange shirt worn by Mark in the ‘Dammit’ video and a promotional CD of ‘What’s My Age Again.’

All proceeds from the sales will go to the American Red Cross.

“I was so thankful to be alive,” he said. “My left hand was completely numb and there was a time when [the doctors] were even talking about amputating my foot. All I wanted to do was play the drums and get the hell out of hospital.”

The drummer credits his solo album as paving his road to recovery.

“I’d already recorded two tracks [for the album] before the crash, so once my hands healed and I could grip stuff, I just had to finish it,” he explained. “For a long time I didn’t want to leave [my home] but [the album] got me out of my pad and into the studio.”

Pop Punk legends Blink 182 have released tickets for their UK comeback tour in 2011. The band, famous for hit albums “Dude Ranch” and “Enema of the State”, have returned after an extended hiatus and their UK comeback began at Reading and Leeds Festivals in the summer of 2010.
