The US pop star is et to return to the UK next month to perform shows at London O2 Arena, Belfast Odyssey Arena, Birmingham LG Arena, London Wembley Arena, Newcastle Metro Radio Arena, Sheffield Motorpoint Arena and Manchester MEN Arena. She revealed news of the new album through her official Twtter account, stating, “Exciting news people… new remix album is coming out on 10/11! Pumped for you to hear these tracks – I love them.”

Set to be released on October 10th, the album will feature remixes of songs from her last three studio albums: Blackout, Circus and Femme Fatale. The producers include Tiesto, Benny Benassi, U-Tern and Linus Loves.

The Femme Fatale star announced a string of US dates with Enrique Iglesias last week but just hours after the joint tour was revealed, Iglesias pulled out.

The Sun claims that Sony record bosses have gone ‘ballistic’ over Spears’s request to push back the gigs.

“Britney has told her management that she wants to push back her concert dates because she’s not feeling ready,” a source told the paper. “She doesn’t feel she has enough time to prepare and has asked management to pull all her dates and postpone everything until later on in the year.

“She’s a perfectionist and wants everything to be better than ever before. She is having to compete with other huge female stars such as Rihanna and Lady Gaga now so wants to step the show up.”

The insider continued: “Obviously it’s gone down like a lead balloon because venues and staff are booked and ready to go. They are trying to talk her round or at least hoping she’ll consider going out in September.

“Either way, there are a lot of meetings going on about how to announce it and handle it. It’s a massive headache.”
